Two good games in a row now. More please
Massive upgrade on Betinelli. Like him
Bettinelli has just made a diving attempt to stop a goal..unfortunately it was trying to save a shot from Wycombe last May.To be fair a scarecrow pinched from a farmer's field and planted in the 6 yard box would have been an upgrade on Betinelli.
However, agree with all the posts, he's doing well, he likes a punch, but he's decisive and gets distance on them.
I'm warming to him. It was good to see several players congratulate him following the save from McGoldrick.
JesusHes had A good game does that meen he will stop dropping balls??? Thought not
Give over FFS.Hes had A good game does that meen he will stop dropping balls??? Thought not
I remember saying the same about Jim Platt............... how wrong was Isame, just wish he’d try and catch the ball abit more as often his punches put us back under pressure as they don’t clear the area but other than that I don’t have any complaints.
I don't get the hate for him from some quarters, he's done well for usHe’s been criticised a lot mainly on this board despite being fairly solid with our poor defending, but for me he commands the box, isn’t afraid to come out and collect the ball or punch it away, made some great saves today especially the long range one. And he knows when to waste time and slow the pace of the game down when we need to. The fans in the ground clearly rate him as he has his own song now, not many Boro keepers have had that in recent years.
Keep it up Joe
agreed, plus some of the protection in front of him has been Keystone Cops Utd.3 goals conceeded in the last 4 games.
One of the Blackpool ones was a complete error by Hall and the Reading one was a complete mis hit by their player.
