Too early on a Sunday morning to go slipping in puns like that. By all accounts Millwall,we’re wretched yesterday and had a measly 1 shot on target. Seems Reading’s defence are rock solid in front of Lumley.
 
We were told by QPR fans when we bought him, he's a good lad, generally decent keeper, but prone to more than the odd mistake every few months. Unfortunately, I think this is what you get with him- seems difficult to iron out his mistakes. Hope he does well for them in Reading, no hard feelings 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
 
So, if you take away the game he was absolutely horrific in, he was decent for 4 games.

Basically like he was here, chugging along fine and then suddenly has a woeful match to remind us why we needed a new keeper.
 
I think he went through his monthly allowance of howlers in the Rotherham game so he’s good to go for a few weeks 👍🏼
 
To say he is a shocking keeper, I get that but you don’t get to play football at a certain level whithout been that good, which I’m guessing us as football fans can only dream of, he can’t be that bad or he would not be where he is.

Think back to school days there was always someone who was special at football and way above us all, that kid never made it, Joe lumley was a kid at school that was special and you knew he was going make a living as a footballer and he is living the dream good luck to him, I know whose boots I would like to be in!!

Not the best agreed, h_m_boro pretty much nails it earlier in the post.

His display for QPR at our place a couple of years ago was probably one of the most impressive goalkeeping displays Ive ever seen against us.

Reading that Lumley was engaged in ridiculous time wasting tactics. Ref added on 7 mins as a result and Burnley got their winner in the 95th.

Burnley 5 points clear of 3rd now.
