Jesse Marsch sacked by Leeds

No way they’re getting Poch, that’s insanity.

Feel a bit for Jesse March as I grew to quite like him after thinking he’d be a disaster appointment on the scale of John Carver. Impossible act to follow after what Bielsa did there but what I’ve seen of Leeds, they’ve still been playing well but just aren’t getting results.

There’s quite a few American signings there - some only signed this week - who can’t be that happy now. Always seems a bit mad to me when clubs are still signing players for a manager days before sacking them, now you’ve got unhappy players on a 4 (or if you’re Chelsea, 8.5) year deals.

Agree on Poch, he turned down Villa for being too small time yet they are a far bigger outfit with a better set up than Leeds.

Little surprised he's jumping ship so quickly but it's clearly a better fit for him personally and professionally.

The links to Poch are laughable - the guy is one of the best managers in the world, why he'd fancy a relegation battle in the EPL is beyond me.

Despite my hatred of Leeds, I am quite a fan of Marsch and think his better days are definitely ahead of him. He's a progressive manager who has had some decent spells and would be ideal for mid-level club wanting to progress long term.

I agree - I liked the look of the squad he was putting together there, would like to have seen how it turned out.
