How will I know if someone rings me from track & trace & tells me to isolate, that they are genuine’ John from Gloucester.

Jenny Harries, deputy CMO: ‘It will be very obvious. These are professionally trained individuals. It will be evident from how they speak.’ :censored:

Evident from how they speak? A specific accent? Language? Posh or common? Animal noises? So many questions.

It's perfectly easy to understand when someone is professional on the phone, how else would I know that my internet is going to get cut off in 4 hours or that I've been in as many car accidents as I I apparently have been if someone was being disingenuous. That sort of security is exactly why I send money every month to that chap in Nigeria. You cant take chances with this sort of thing, it's very easy to get scammed

Jenny Harries is actually giving some sensible advice at least about going out but all the people who need to hear it are packed on the beaches right now.

To be fair, she is, but there's no point preaching to the choir, it's the unbelievers that need to hear the hymn

This is the same person who said in March that it was fine for Cheltenham to go ahead and that the NHS had more than enough PPE to go around. She said that the UK didn't need to "test, test, test" because we are a first world country and described the UK as an "international exemplar in preparedness" for the coronavirus crisis.

Jonathan Van-Tam she ain't.

She is parroting what she is told, stupic woman. I am failing to see anyone coming out of this with much credibility at all. The SAGE council should be breaking ranks if they are advising the government contrary to what is coming out at the daily briefings.

The whole thing is a shambles.

I am going to ring Jenny Harries and advise her that she has had her bank account hacked and she needs to transfer all her money into a second temporary account (details of which I will furnish her with personally) with her bank to protect her money. I will be a calm reassuring voice and provide total professionalism at all times as she will have enough on her plate at present. She will be relieved I’m sure ;)

Don't forget the, 'we need an adult conversation about PPE'

I think a clue might be when they say you need to isolate, but if you give me your bank details then you'll be allowed to go out😁
