I seem to remember in the long distant past. well about 20 years ago, an article in the fanzine that mention that Boro Boro meant tattered and worn out in Japanese.

Boro is the imperative of the verb to go in Farsi. It follows therefore that "boro Boro" is how a Persian would say "go Boro".
