Seems to be on TV more often than the news at the minute...

I've just watched his cooking show....now he's on again Islands and Highlands

Seems a good guy (y)

Chefs in general tend to annoy me, they need to learn to calm down a bit - far too aggressive most of them for me.

Mentions his weight in almost all his shows and comes across as a little insecure in that respect. Can't fault his food or his guest chefs. Sadly the "celebrity guests" on his saturday morning programme seem to be a sad mix of once popular pop stars from the 80s, defimitely a need to be more topical (and this from a 60 plus year old.)

Better than Gordon Ramsey and his 2 mates chicken Big head's if you ask me !
Ramsey is a funny one. He can come across as aggressive/bullying/big headed but he's very articulate, and knowledgeable and he come from humble roots to be a very successful chappie. His football past helps for me. A pity that the 3 amigos thing is so formulaic. Martin is fairly charismatic.

Was cooking in the band stand in Whitby on todays show... Ramsey is very suited to USA.. though I'm surprised none have shot him by now..

Said to my son the other day about James Martin the TV scheduling during the lock down has been a big boost to his possibly flagging career as a TV chef.

I can never see the justification for chefs becoming celebrities. They are just making someone's tea. It's nothing that our Mams didn't do every day.

I recommend his easy cottage pie recipe on BBC food

Make sure you brown the mince properly and use a good stock. Most of his stuff is very good, especially the deserts. Sometimes used too many ingredients, like he'll do a tagine and then stick three differents herbs and pomegranites and God knows what in the cous cous. I watch loads of cookery shows on TV because I love eating.

I like cooking and eating but wouldn't know where to start with a tagine dream!
