I class a striker as the main man the middle. You have listed a few strikers in your list and as Marv says there is only Lewandowski better than him. Although Lukaku on current form is getting in that bracket. The other players you listed apart from Haaland are ‘forwards’

I dont doubt his quality over his career, i was commenting on the last 2 games where he has been a total passenger. i dont think hes fit!

I think it's just how the games have gone, with the way the opposition and England have set up it's meant hes often been isolated.
Let's hope he scores a hat trick tonight!

If I'm deluded then so is Guardiola, Mourinho, Klopp and Tuchel. All of whom have said Kane is either one of the best strikers in the world, or the best. Also top scorer at the last World Cup and consistently top goal scorer and top for assists in the worlds toughest league.

Oh and most of the people in your list are definitely not strikers or centre forwards.
 
Saka is... a choice. Bright player, I quite like him but seems a bit scattered, bringing in someone who wasn’t in anyone’s thinking. Has he leapfrogged Foden, Rashford and Sancho then?

Fair enough to give Maguire a game but Mings hasn’t put a foot wrong, be unlucky to lose his place.

Grealish - Kane - Saka then? Or Grealish to replace Mount and Sterling keeps his place?

Or if Walker plays we might go three at the back, Saka & Shaw as wing backs which would be interesting.
 
I'm going to agree with the posters who have pointed out sancho has been absolute dog plop everytime he's pulled on a england shirt.

Rate Saka really highly think he can be whatever he wants to be, no problem him getting a run out.

Depends on how you read what he’s saying. On his last two performances for England he does look knacked, looking at the past season he clearly wasn’t then but something is definitely up with him at this moment.

no one reads stuff just rather get on their high horse. He hasnt played well at all and people can blame service but as roy keane said you can still hold the ball up and work for the team. No ones doubting his quality but he hasnt been at it whether its injury, mind on a move or whatever. Being one of the best strikers in the world means nothing in these euros unless he delivers today and going forward. i think we all hope he does.

i made a post about perspective so not expecting him to have scored a boat load but the basics are missing so far from him.

He hasn’t been at his best that’s true but he’s a world-class striker and it just takes a goal to turn it around.

Mbappe looked poor in last France game, he was getting the ball taken off his toes over and over again and they drew with Hungary. Not everyone looks great in every game.

I don’t think there’s much to panic about with Kane. I think he just needs a good game.
 
Someone needs to remind Walker we have Pickford in goal not ederson so he needs to stop looking for the keeper every time he has the ball.

been impressed with Saka and Grealish. Not afraid to carry the ball, which is what we have been needing.

Walker needs to be a bit more willing to release the ball, Especially when their left back doesn’t seem to be enjoying playing again Saka. If Walker could feed him the ball a bit quicker, we could probably put them on the back foot quite easily.
