"I've been told that an offer has been accepted"

Wilder did NOT look amused at all when responding to the Tavernier question in this morning's press conference.

What were your thoughts on his mannerisms, reaction, body language, tone?

I hope he's braying Gibson, Bauser and Scott's door down for some of Bournemouth's money to go and get a replacement.

he words on it were pretty sensible when you read the gazette report and placed the blame at the door of the player and representitives

just watched the actual conference, not sure where you're coming from really, he seemed quite relaxed about things

Disappointed came across to me, it appeared he did not agree it was a good move. Sometimes a manager say this is a great opportunity for the player and we could not say no to his move - this was not the tone with Wilder. I tend to agree with Wilder. The issue for Tav is at what age do you say I need to have a crack at the Premiership.

It seems from his comments the club and himself did absolutely everything to keep him, he also went on to say how we're a bigger club with better fans but what can you do when a player gets an offer from the PL.
He basically called him daft for choosing Bournemouth over Boro.

I think it’s a d*ck move from Tav. This has been rumoured for weeks. He should have told the club last week at the latest, that he wants it to happen if the money is right. Reading between the lines, it looks like he didn’t until a couple of days ago. Bit poor that, so close to a new season. I’d be mightily miffed if I was Wilder or the club, if he’s been indicating he was staying for the last couple of weeks.

But who knows what’s really gone on. Just guesswork to be honest.

I honesty thought the way the players celebrated with him when he scored v Marseille meant he might be off. They all seemed really chuffed for him.

Not a very ambitious move, Boro to Bournemouth, more money and Premier League for a year.
Disagree but we have debated this on about 45 different threads. If they go back down he is out of contract and can move again. Its a sensible move in my opinion.

Sure but I am sure Tav's bank manager will be singing a different tune.

If Tav wants a ceack at the premiership and feels as though he can wait no longer then 🤷 but what is difficult to stomach is the timing and why we haven't say to bournemouth what every club has said to us. You can have him once we've signed his replacement.

Me too, and understandably so.

Its seems odd to me that someone is to blame for Tav's move; he wanted to go (which is understable), the club got as much as they could for him and ultimately its another success story for our academy.

Closer to London, more money, PL football. That’s all guaranteed. It’s a maybe for us, an in a years time. I don’t blame him for going if I’m honest.

Not sure the London thing is likely to be a factor in this case. He's from Leeds isn't he? So moving a lot further away from family and friends.

He's closer to Leeds now than Bournemouth is to London.
