And hushed up for 5 weeks, even hospitals were not told and it was even deemed classified information. So healthy people and staff contracted it in the hospital despite not having it before hand and the hospital trusts weren’t informed.

this (once again) is incredible

sickening.

But add it to

PPE
CARE HOMES
TESTING ( or lack thereof)
Sage guidance
The “app”
etc

The extent to which Covid-19 was spreading in hospitals across England, which could have helped trusts reduce infections on wards, was not shared with NHS trusts for weeks, ITV News can reveal.
At the height of the coronavirus outbreak in late March NHS England and the Department of Health became aware that up to 20% of Covid-19 cases were being acquired in hospitals, not in the community.
But NHS England didn't inform individual trusts of how they were performing until weeks later.

Could hospitals have been set aside regionally for Covid-19 admissions?

I guess there were a lot of shared resources with, for instance, opthalmic practitioners helping out, but people can be moved.
