It's the 50th anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon ...

I think you're talking about stupid people, not young people. There is plenty of crossover in a Venn diagram though.
I was at a Half Man Half Biscuit gig. I felt that it was the safest environment for blindly criticising the young that I could ever be in.

This story couldn't be more ridiculous... but I'm not sure if it was ever their "logo", was it?

I can appreciate DSOTM slightly more now, but at the time it was something of a disappointment. Every Pink Floyd fan has their particular era, and regards everything that came after as a sell-out. Mine is Atom Heart Mother/Meddle. It didn't help that everyone in the world seemed to have a copy of Dark Side and played and analysed it endlessly. Things got muy pretencioso around that time.

Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall and then DSOTM

A great album with one of the most iconic covers of all time that's always had a rainbow in it. Gotta be a complete chump to be upset by it 😁
What's the next thing to get upset about 👀

I think the pink hippo is a bit liberated really - for that period of time anyway.
Personally I dont mind pink elephants, so long as they dont fly or schitt on my cabbage patch🌈

They're probably the types that take to twitter regular to scream at woke lefties for 'virtue signalling' without realising it's exactly what they've done

The Inca`s were obviously a bit ahead of their time:
In Peru, moons ago, I didnt see any copies of The Dark Side of The Moon,
or "The Naked Civil Servant" or even "The Importance of Being Earnest"
It was quite colourful though.
The Inca`s were a cultured and educated people.
I cant imagine they would vote for Prexit. Even if there was one.

Two things I never got around to doing… watching The Sound of Music or listening to Dark Side of the Moon. Or any of their albums come to think of it

Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall and then DSOTM
I remember when it came out and it blew my mind. The previous album Meddle had foretold of the Magnus opus that is DSOTM with the wonderful track Echoes. Without doubt their best album - every piece of music on that album is genius. The singing by Clare Torrey, the sax playing, the music which was ahead of its time.
My Pink Floyd ranking of albums

1. Dark Side of the Moon
2. Wish You Were Here
3. Meddle
4. The Wall
5. Animals

I remember when it first came out and I bought and then played it constantly for weeks on end on my dad’s state of the art stereo system. Even he grudgingly admitted it had its moments. Personally, I still think it sounds as good today as it did then. I still play my original copy which is in really good nick, though the posters and stickers are long gone.

I’m not a fan of The Wall and would put The Division Bell above it. The rest I totally agree with.

I absolutely love Pink Floyd, but I think that DSOTM is probably only about my 5th favourite Pink Floyd album.

I prefer the Wall, their live albums and some of the 90s stuff.

What a band.

Never listened to Dark Side of the Moon but I like the song David Gilmour did that samples the SNCF train arrival noise. I don’t know what that makes me. 🇫🇷
