Let's rejoice in this warm weather, long weekend and the promise of a beer or two, much music and merriment though sadly not a Wembley Final.

Anyhow, onto more important matters now... discovered Fire Island Buffalo this week and was reasonably impressed I have to say. Looking forward to indulging in a few new ales this weekend too down in London Town, hopefully discover a decent find or two.

Musically, to get use started here's something for the weekend... literally.

I'm not drinking until later due to going to the pictures with my youngest son. When I get back I will be cracking open the Gordon's Gin. I nearly had one at lunchtime but realised I had to drive to the Showcase. I won't be drinking too much as I am dropping and picking plants up at guisborough_robs in the morning.

My choice of music this week comes from my sister-in-law's choice of music last weekend when she put on her Crosby, Still & Nash vinyl. Played them a few times through the week and had forgotten how good they were.

After reading "No Sleep Till Saltburn" from here a year or so ago I came across a similar book by a mate's mate "Hell Bent For Leather" so before I start reading that I'm filling up on Rush and Rainbow and Priest and Maiden plus others from years gone by. Loving "Xanadu" to bits right at this moment.

He'll Bent for Leather is as good as No Sleep til Saltburn 👍 I could do with reading both again.

Working until 8, working Sunday, working Monday 😢😥 - so a few Carling after I finish tonight will be my only beverages
Been listening to The Streets first 2 albums - so a song about drinking amongst other things

Bank holiday weekend so plenty of time for beer. Tonight I have a bottle of cheap Shiraz from Morrisons, tomorrow I think will include a trip to a beer garden.

Tonight it will be Mississippi John Hurt. Here is 8 minutes of pure bliss, 3 mins in when the song actually starts, shut your eyes and be amazed.
