It’s rarely easy being a Boro fan

I got to be truthful I enjoyed yesterday, I steeled myself up a long time ago about Boro losing affecting me too much. It was a good day to see my team's fans get behind their team and stay loud and passionate, it was also nice to be in a ground again and listening to the bantz between different fans, as little grounds go Loftus Road is one of the better ones.

Three wins in 29 games there must make it one of our worst grounds to visit

I have to say that for me, it is like being on the rollercoaster Oblivion at Alton Towers, you rise higher and higher and loving the thrill as it suddenly begins to level off and you slow down at an ambient slow pace and you start to feel the collywobbles and then jerk to a stop on the precipice. As you slowly glance down teetering on the edge you get a feeling of doom before being sent spiralling toward the bowels of the earths core gripping on for dear life in what seems an eternity.

Unfortunately Oblivion then sends you spiralling back at pace to your starting point and you get off to terra firma. Whereas at Boro, you keep praying you’ll get back to where it began, but the hope and expectation dissipates and you carry on hurtling in a direction that you have no control over and when the train eventually comes to a halt you lose all sense of reality and movement and before you can disembark the cars begin rolling again in a never ending loop of hope, tension, thrill and despair. Enjoy your Sunday mind 👍

Must admit my enthusiasm for the season has dropped dramatically over the last few weeks.

Missed the first home game as on holiday. Miss the next home league game as I’m going to the cricket and can’t be bothered going to the League Cup game.

Will be the end of September before I see a game live.

I actually don't think that we are that far away from the pace, a decent left footed centre back, a holding mid and 1 more striker, we can get the rest as frees over the next two months. Silly errors yesterday and on another day it would have been a foul on a goalie and possibly a pen for us later. Forss is going to be more involved as the weeks go by, Chuba if he sticks to his recent application it will be like getting a good new striker and will be more and more involved.

It's rarely easy being a fan of most clubs. And even 'fans' of those clubs it is easy being a fan of, like the Livervools and the Man Us, will tell you that it's not easy being a fan of those clubs.

I like the Championship. The competitiveness. The unpredictability. The way the games come thick and fast. Bottom can beat top, teams go on 10-12 match winning/losing runs.
I don't follow the PL much, probably watch 6-10 games a season, can't be ars*d with MoTD.
Been following Boro for 34 years, get used to the disappointments. Enjoy the highs, get narked at the lows, but try to keep things in perspective.
We're a club with 100% genuine supporters, no glory hunters or plastics. It's real.
Wouldn't change it. Don't know how I'd feel if we ended up like Man City, loads of long suffering fans sat beside the new ra-ras, fans who have mysteriously ditched their Utd tops and are now City's #1 fans ( and have been for the last 5-6 years.......).
Just have to strap yourself in and enjoy the ride 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I thought days like yesterday were consigned to history.

A classic London no show where the whole team seems to be off it.

But nope

We were bullied a bit I the first half, it happened a bit last season away from home. We did have two full backs playing centre halves, but it's also happened when McNair and Fry have played. This suggests it's a state of mind opposed to individuals
Jones losing possession in his own half several times in the first half put in unnecessary pressure on the defence

since 1969 the roller coaster journey started, experience gives a pre-sight into match results , usually nearly correct as I was v QPR --- thought we would get stuffed 3-0 when I saw the back 3 ..... how wonderful the 2nd half nearly was tho ...
