It’s looking like a potential landslide victory for Joe Biden

It's open to an awful lot of interpretation.... for a start how many of this 111 were armed ?
If the issue were a wider debate about the reasons why black people are shot, that might be relevant but this was purely a question of the numbers, and an unsupported claim that only 8 black people had died at police hands in 2020. The circumstances of their death wasn't the issue, so is irrelevant to the question at hand, which was the accuracy of the quoted number.

In still waiting for @JL2020 to clarify where that number came from, which he implied he had checked somewhere.

Looks like Joe is going the hide as much as possible route to the presidency normally I'd say it was a daft idea but for him it's a great idea.

There's no way we will see debates he's not turning up to the convention

It doesn't matter who is against Trump, they just ned to let him hang himself with his behaviour, racism, and sociopathy and Trump will lose

As it stands it’s looking like a landslide for Joe Biden in November.

Trump is losing badly in so many battleground states - Colorado, Virginia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, he’s even losing in Florida, Arizona and Texas. In 2016 he beat Clinton by 9 percentage points in Texas.

There’s no conceivable way Trump loses Texas or wins it narrowly and wins the election.

Only things that potentially save the orange buffoon now is there’s a Coronavirus vaccine that he can take the credit for, or Biden comes out of his basement and makes a gaffe of epic proportions.

I await the standard: “BuT tHe PoLlS wErE wRoNg In 2016“.

They were in the margin of error. If these polls are within the same margin, Trump is still toast.

God I hope so. The last decade has been a surreal nightmare - Trump, Brexit and Bojo! The election of Biden may well set the ‘West’ back on the road to normality

Unfortunately guys it's started... the media pushing Biden to have a cognitive test and Biden's response being weird to say the least. This is not going to go away and I fear for him in the debates.

In my lifetime there have been white only, Cinema,Theatre, sporting venues segregation, army platoons, bus seating etc etc. White generations who knew this way of life are still around. This country has much the same problems, as shown on this board from time to time, and some are shy about it.
A lesser known fact is that in many states there were laws against inter-racial marriage and even sex. The last state to repeal such a state law was Alabama in 2000 (yes, only 20 years ago), even though such laws were declared unconstitutional in the 1960s.

That's only half the truth to be fair, yes, it was a law as such but hadn't been used for the previous 33 years since it was illegal to enforce.
That's my understanding, I'm open to be proved wrong.

Why it remained a law for 33 years is open to debate.

The Alabama law remained unrepealed for 33 years because referendums calling for repeal were defeated.

This is where using percentages like this can be very misleading... it's 40% of those that voted, and by my calculations that makes about 16% of the adult population. Still a worryingly big number, but this is Alabama.

Biden will win and it won’t even be close. Trump has alienated pretty much ever sector of America society and is overseeing the second Great Depression. Angry people and unemployed people just want someone to blame and they usually blame the person in charge because that’s all they can do. The election couldn’t come at a worse time for Trump.

I saw an interview with an investigative reporter who reckons the GOP have probably disenfranchised 16m voters, so don’t be too sure.

As much as I despise the narcissistic con artist that he is you write him off at your peril. His disinformation campaign will get into full swing with its alternative facts and many are willing to be duped.
