That I agree with. We are probably past simple condemnation though. My point was really that people want to use the murder of children as a stick to beat starmer with. That, I am afraid, is reprehensible.
They should sue for harm to their childs education. Having freedom of opinion and freedom of speech should not be curtailed. The quote clearly isn't racist and looking at this Sacha Gottlieb it would appear she is applying her political opinions to this decision and if she can't separate the two should be removed from post and disciplined. If this was my child they would be at the school gates the next day with a legal letter, and I'd be prepared to take it to the highest court in the land.
let's just stop using the term anti-semitic. The allusion is that term means you are racist, when in reality it can be applied to people for a whole set of reasons. We have a term for treating someone badly based on race, it's racism, we have a term that defines hatred of someone based on which sky god they believe in, religious bigotry. We don't need a muddied term that groups together racism, bigotry and genuine hatred of a political apartheid system under the same banner. Because it serves no purpose other than to protect that apartheid system.
Are people blaming Starmer or just wondering where his voice is? He is a prominent figure in politics and should have something to say.
