Is white bread bad for you

Depends if the filling is made with US chicken or UK chicken judging by the other thread 😉

I thought there was no such thing as “white bread” in the traditional sense any more, as even white bread now is basically whole meal. Isn’t it.

The answer is no, white bread is not bad for you, brown bread isn't "healthier" - it contains a different micronutrient profile and slightly more fibre.

Looking at your overall diet as a whole, rather than what type of bread you eat is a better way to look at it.

Happy to help in any way.

Brown for first course, white for pudding. Brown is savoury, white's the treat. Of course I'm the one who's laughing because I actually love brown toast.

Too much of anything is bad for you . Moderation is the key factor as a little of somethings are good ( work that out )

One of the things I miss the most about Spain when I come to the UK is getting daily fresh bread. The stuff in the UK is full of preservatives, decent bread shouldn't last more than 24 hours without going stale.

Depends how you store it, I can make a fresh sourdough or even sourdough style bread and get 3 days out of it without it being stale. Plenty of places in the uk do daily fresh bread, even supermarkets
