Gove you say ?

Just came across this, when he was attempting a career in TV comedy. As expected he's about as funny as toothache, and with a Scottish accent which he's now ditched.

four minutes I lasted, an then saw it was on for one hour forty seven minutes - I'd rather have my scrotum nailed to chair and made to watch the Sunderland programme on Netflix repeatedly than have to sit through that

Thats surely the correct way to do things though, if everyone just takes their kids to the park then the ones that have no gardens etc will just end up suffering. If they are allowing that to continue they might as well just open the schools

Kid's playgrounds are a form of exercise.

People have denied kids a proper education, are they to deny them exercise aswell?

Which actually ties in quite nicely to the original topic of the thread. Do as I say not as I do.

I don't mind Hancock, not considering his party, who he's working for and the role he's in, and it could be 1000 x worse.
Imagine having Boris, Rees-Mogg, Gove, Raab, Patel or any of those lot in that role, none of them are out for the common good and for those that are most reliant on public healthcare, they're all for the top 5% (most with private healthcare) or just plain evil.

I think Hancock is one of the easiest to throw stones at though, as the Health Secretary he's got to win over pretty much all of the labour voters (seeing as health/ NHS it's one of Labours main concerns), and will never be seen to be doing enough, no matter what happens by most Labour voters. A lot of the Tories hate him as he's perceived as the one trying to help the NHS, they kind of pin it that it's his area is the one that needs the lockdowns, and if those lockdowns are done incorrectly it means big problems for the economy.

Had we actually locked down earlier (last march and in October) as he probably wanted, and how the scientist/ modellers/ SAGE wanted, then Hancock's job would have been much simpler. There would have been a lot less death (easier ride from Labour voters), and the lockdowns would have been shorter and sharper (better for the economy and tories). What actually happened is those other than Hancock messed up, locked down too late, which then meant months of recoveries (to bail out Hancock's department) as they were too late to be implemented.

He's sort of like the fall guy, as he's the main voice of lockdown, but the issues laid at his door stem from decisions of others above him.

People havent, covid has. And unless cases go down its going to be disrupted even further.

Surely its the right thing to do not to use these facilities unless you need to though. Imagine if you had no garden and the play areas were full, you dont really have many options then unless you put someone at risk of catching covid

The government have made a complete hash of it, their hypocrisy has been there for all to see since the start of the disease.

Hancock should be hated for being in the Conservative Party, he shouldn't be hated for his inability to do a job given to him by the chief clown.

No one person is to blame, if you voted for them you carry the can s much as they do.

So you'll be against people going out on bike rides aswell then yes? Or jogging?

I am sure these clowns could get an "expert" to say jogging is virtually deadly.
Bunch of entirely corrupt politicians using a bunch of so called "experts" to propagate their agenda.
How else can SAGE be explained?
Not one virologist on Sage !
I thought this was supposed to be about a virus !
Not one critical care specialist on SAGE, despite countless numbers condemned to CC.

The guy who cleaned my windows yesterday did a cracking job, I would say he was an expert in cleanliness, maybe he could get on SAGE, At least it is possible to see that he knows how do do something and not pontificate about things he is not an "expert" at.

I’m certain you understand the difference here. I really want to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you’re arguing for arguments sake. If you don’t get the difference between kids in playgrounds and someone cycling on their own then the last year has been an entire waste for you

Its hardly the same as crowding into a small area and all using the same equipment if they already have the capacity to do this in their own garden.

How many people have playground equipment in the garden? I don't for example, because we have a playground 5 minutes away from our house which is outdoors.

The virus rarely spreads through surface contact which has been studied by various sources so sharing outdoor equipment isn't an issue.

Good luck in getting a child to join in on a 5 mile run or a 10 mile bike ride. People who have an issue with kids playing in playgrounds have deeper issues than that.
