I’ve been amazed at how disjointed the approaches have been from all sections of the UK. There is no doubt Nicola stock has risen during the crisis.

Why, have they found someone to pay for NHS Scotland? Has Brent crude just shot up in price?
Even without the oil revenue (which has been falling for some time) the Scottish economy is a net contributor to the UK exchequer.

Yes, I would say so and good luck to them. Shat on by the Tories since Thatcher. Also it will do them good not to be able to blame the English for everything that goes wrong.
I might even ask sturgeon if we can move the border down to the Tees!
I think the North of England would be better off as part of a "Northern Britain" than as an embarrassing adjunct to Southern England. My beliefs more closely resonate with our cousins form north of the border than the residents of London and the South East in particular.

Take us with you Scotland!

No. They need a referendum which this government has said won’t be happening. Unfortunately where stuck with them.

Not till after the next GE mind and quite possibly only then if the Tories dont get a majority.

Despite Cameron saying that they will be equal partners of the Union. And despite Cameron promising a referendum if something significant happened.
I cannot, for the life of me , think of anything more significant than dragging Scotland out of the EU against its will. But it's always the same with Tories- never believe a word they say.

No way they can go alone- certainly not for the foreseeable future. As for Sturgeon anybody who winds up the odious Dan Wooton the trolltastic "executive political editor of The Sun" deserves every accolade going.

You know you should not raise false hope. But no harm in dreaming.
That visa application queue might be quite long. Still they can always pay for them in the currency of another country which is English pounds last time they thought (not for very long) about it.
Or maybe they will go for Belgian visas when the EU turn them down for membership.

No, it is no closer now than it was when the SNP lost the referendum. Sturgeon has halted the slide with her actions in this crisis but there were major problems coming their way. Salmond’s trial hurt the SNP a lot, the lack of an upturn in the economy which can only be blamed on Westminster for so long, oil revenue not something to build an economy on, just to name a few.

English pounds?

The symbol is GBP, and Scotland can use it as an independent country. The Euro would be a better currency though for economic and financial service reasons.

After the last 66 days I don't think there'll be much appetite for indyref for a while.

Oh and by the way . No they fekin cant. As has frequently been stated over the years

I'd rather not join the Jocks if that's ok with you muttley.
I really just don't get why anybody would choose to move the border at all.
