It’s absolutely impossible to answer yes or no to that question, how can that be so difficult to understand?

Whether he is just being argumentative or he really is that simple minded: I've said this a few times but Randy can't comprehend degrees of things and nuance. In his simple little world everything has to be an absolute. To tell him a vaccine is only a certain percentage effective and only in preventive varying levels of severity of illness is lost on him. You might as well lecture a toad on the thermodynamic properties of various metals.

I honestly don't think he's that stupid to not understand the difference. I think he deliberately ignores it. Knowing he can reduce an argument down to a simple yes no in which the answer "proves" him correct.

As I said before, I have full belief in the vaccine and that it works otherwise what's the point of having it?
 
I give it three weeks before lockdown 4.0. Indian variant clearly out of control. Hancock blaming the people of Bolton for nor being vaccinated. Is Bolton a Tory constituency. I'm guessing not.

What about those who are yet to have both vaccines, those who can’t have any, those who refuse? What about the elderly and those with compromised immune systems where the vaccine won’t be as effective? What about the threat of other variants and not knowing how the vaccines will react to them? Even if the effectiveness is reduced then how will this impact the severity of the illness?

The vaccines are showing good levels of effectiveness and should significantly reduce hospitalisations and deaths. But it’s certainly not going to 100% solve the problem, no vaccine can ever do that.

It’s stupid to suggest it either works or not, and if the answer isn’t 100% yes then to question what’s the point. But I’m sure you already know that
 
Not over, not now we have the Johnson variant imported in bulk from India by UK Gov - another great trade deal.

Interesting take on that. A lot of people on twitter who hold the government to account have pointed out that the main stream media have done a great job in taking the heat away from the government for not putting India on the red kit and banning flights. Instead we are all blaming each other again. As evil and nasty as it is, you've got to admit it's pretty clever the way they cover their incompetence
