Ipswich Town, a very short price to get promoted?

I always think of the bobby Robson era, with the likes of Mick Mills, Terry Butcher, George Burley, Arnold Muhren an Frans Thijssen (y)
John Wark for me. Anyone who spent time in a POW camp with a gobshiite yank who made Joe Lumley look like prime Schmeichel whilst constantly being overshadowed by a fella from Trinidad who looked remarkably like Pele, deserves nothing but recognition in my eyes.

Paul Cooper, Alan Brazil, Eric Gates, Paul Mariner. Had one hell of a team, shame Bosco robbed them of the league

An incredible side. Built in the backwaters of East Anglia.
Robson was a genius - had a real eye for talent.
No "stats" or players wearing tracker - bra`s under their shirts in them days.

Ipswich always make me think of Dalian Atkinson RIP. Seemed to be a club we never beat in my early days following Boro, so I'm not too thrilled to see them back.

On odds, I suppose if all teams were exactly equal, the probability of on any one team being promoted would be 24/3, or 8/1.
Of course, bookies have to make a living, so the offered odds would be slightly longer than that.
And of course, not all teams are equal, but I'm guessing Ipswich are quite a lot longer than 8 or 9/1? Maybe around 25/1-33/1 is a realistic price?

I think Plymouth are the ones to watch. They have an excellent manager and a long term strategy. I think they will do very well over the next few years. Well run clubs are starting to come to the fore which is brilliant for everyone.

Teams coming off the back of such good form as 20 wins 1 draw and 2 loses at home last season like Plymouth are going to be tough to beat.

What a geat team over that period... John Wark, Paul Cooper, Eric Gates, Paul Mariner, Alan Brazil.... and they had a wonderfully early 80's strip with a white pin-stripe on the blue shirt (y):)
