Inside no 9 Xmas special ( warning spoilers)

Hoof for those that may have missed this

As I’m genuinely interested what people thought about it.

I thought it was a fairly standard "Inside No 9". There wasn't anything overly clever going on and the twist was deliberately signposted so it was clear what was unfolding as it happened.

Not the best IN9 but still better than 90% of the drivel that passes for 'entertainment' these days. Bah humbug!

Was an entertained watch but would agree it was just standard inside no 9. Wasn’t shocked by the ending or really cared.

It’s more how do you interpret the ending.
I'm struggling to remember the end. It was fine but I think they try way too hard now. I've not watched the last series as I find I just don't care. Is that me? Probably.

When he tried to get the jaw bone slipped and hung himself.

So was he a ghost or a warning or both.

Was who a ghost?

He was his own warning.

The story about the mother tapping on the window was the signpost.

It was a form of premonition that served as a warning to what would happen. The 'ghostly' tapping on the window she witnessed whilst cleaning was a premonition for the real tapping that occurred when she was in hospital.

Likewise, the series of events that led to the ending were all shown as 'ghostly' moments leading up to the ending - just in more detail and for a longer period.

He understood it was a warning at the last minute when he worked out that he himself was the 'ghost'. There was no actual ghost.
