I know it's light hearted and trivial but wondered how many people have come across this and given it any thought? You see a fly caught in a web which a spider has painstaking built to catch it's food, the fly is desperately trying to escape, what do you do? Vote above.

interesting you asked this question. There was a fly in the little ones paddling pool today. I scooped it out at pace, and it flew into the fence and bounced down into a spiders web.

I did actually help it out of that too, but it then crawled up the fence flew off and then flew back straight into another web, at that point I decided it was a bit thick and left it!

If it’s a bee il rescue it but if it’s a wasp or fly it’s dinner time for the 🕷

Having just suffered a horrendous horsefly bite, one that required me to have a scan for DVT, such was the swelling, can I just say that I'd willingly kill every insect on the planet. Now I know they play a vital part in the ecosystem, but if they don't stop biting the **** out of me then they'll have to suffer the consequences.

I'd put a bird in the Web to catch the spider, which caught the fly. Then put a cat in the Web to catch the bird, which caught the spider, which caught the fly. Then put a dog in the Web to catch the cat, which caught the bird, which caught the spider, which caught the fly. Then I would put a horse in the Web to catch the dog, which caught the cat, which caught the bird, which caught the spider which caught the fly. (I'm making the assumption it's a fairly large and extraordinary strong Web).
