Just imagine the delight on the faces of all those hardline, definitely not racist, brexiteers ...
Apart from the fact its true? There was a lot of talk about relaxing visas and getting more Indian workers in. It's quite hilarious isn't it? The bigots who voted for brexit are going to get more brown people in the country. They won't like that!“We hear that Johnson tells journos on a plane” Absolute Codswallop.
In what way is it tosh? It sounds pretty accurate to meSo the Baroness has made her own interpretation of that article but her version is complete tosh.
Making it easier to get a visa. Possibly THE barrier to working in another countrySince 2000 there has been a constant influx of Indian IT workers to the UK. Approx 25,000 p.a., so where is the shortage of labour, and what barrier is the government actually removing?
I feel I should just point out bigotry is not something that relates to all brexit voters as some might take from your post even though i am sure you wont have meant that, but some will undoubtedly have been bigots who voted brexit. I am sure there are bigoted remainers that exist too. Without wishing to open up old wounds, for many, Brexit was about independent World trade not just European contracted trades agreements and bigotry and racism was never in their minds.Apart from the fact its true? Apologies: yes not all brexitists are bigots. However all bigots are brexitists and its one of the cornerstones of the movementI feel I should just point out bigotry is not something that relates to all brexit voters as some might take from your post even though i am sure you wont have meant that, but some will undoubtedly have been bigots who voted brexit. I am sure some racist remainers and brexiteers will not like this trade agreement. We desperately need skilled trades people across all industries and the Indians I have met have always been polite, courteous, hard working and honest and (subject to seeing whats in it) hope it will be a positive and welcome step.
A lot of the Indians I came across in the States had been brought in on H1B visas as cheap labour and really weren't competent. H1B visas are for skilled labour where there is not a US citizen available to do the job and the salary has to match that which would be paid to a US citizen. Clamping down on its misuse is the one decent thing Trump did as president.I feel I should just point out bigotry is not something that relates to all brexit voters as some might take from your post even though i am sure you wont have meant that, but some will undoubtedly have been bigots who voted brexit. I would doubt that. Given bigotry was weaponsied (and still is) by the brexitists, it stands to reason that the movement would appeal to bigots. Remain is simply the opposite of a bigoted ideal. Brexit has legitimised bigotry and racism in this countryThat is not true. All bigots are not brexitists.
Bigotry: obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
Their will undoubtedly be people who voted remain that are bigots in some way shape or form.

Bigotry was alive and well long before Brexit and applies to many other issues, to doubt there will be bigots who may have voted remain is astonishing in my eyes. I’ll leave it there though as I don’t want the thread derailing.I would doubt that.
