MIDDLESBROUGH SUPPORTERS FORUM IS ASKING GENEROUS BORO FANS TO TAKE A DONATION FOR MIDDLESBROUGH FOODBANK, THE CARRICK BOOT ROOM & LOCAL SALVATION ARMY TOY APPEAL TO THE HOME GAME AGAINST IPSWICH TOWN ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 9

With the support of Middlesbrough Football Club, the Forum has once again arranged a donation point close to the North Stand turnstiles.
This is a great opportunity for the fans to give non-perishable food items or monetary donations.

We’ve had very successful collection there in the past and hope to raise much needed food and funds to support people in the local community who find themselves in crisis. Our van will be there from 12noon.

We will also teaming up once again with MFC Foundation and The Michael Carrick Foundation to collect football boots and warm winter coats as well as the local Salvation Army to collect toys in time for Christmas.

Please bring them along to our collection point.

Just trying to keep this in everyone's mind's eye.
Looking for food/cash; football boots; toys
Please bring along to the vans parked behind the North Stand from 12 noon on Saturday.

Am going to keep promoting this.
Talking to Liam Watson of MFC Foundation - he tells me they have no shortage of players unable to afford football boots. Kids grow out of boots very quickly so any unwanted boots will be quickly given a new home and allow youngsters to play football again.
Very, very sad there are so many youngsters without boots or footwear but with everyone's help we can recycle and keep the kids playing.

MFC and Middlesbrough Supporters Forum are supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal
This is what they say about this on their Middlesbrough Citadel website where they also have advice on what sort of toys etc and where you can take them during the week if the matchday is not convenient.

Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal

Please support our Christmas Present Appeal by donating new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present.

You can drop off your donations at Middlesbrough Salvation Army, 2 Southfield Road, TS1 3BZ (Access from Linthorpe Road) on Monday, Tuesday & Friday between 10am - 4pm.

The gifts will then be sorted and distributed to families in the area.

(You can also drop off gifts before the Ipswich game at the van parked behind the North Stand, Riverside from noon onwards on Saturday)

Another reminder about this - to bring food or money and any (unwrapped) toys along for the appeal on Saturday. Just stick one in each pocket.
Also, if there are any football boots your kids have grown out of perhaps then they will be most gratefully received by MFC Foundation - and help to keep young footballers playing.
Many thanks again.

Another reminder about this for the evening crowd - please spread the word ahead of Saturday's game to pay a quick call to the back of the North Stand for this triple appeal - Food, football boots and unwrapped toys.

Remember there is a big collection today from Middlesbrough Supporters Forum, Salvation Army, Michael Carrick Foundation and MFC Foundation - all joining forces with MFC - behind North Stand ticket office from 12 noon - weather is awful so please make their day by lending your support with food, boots, trainers, unwrapped toys or/and money.
In so many ways this is the most important appeal of the year. Please help us help others.

You can donate to Middlesbrough Foodbank by text - text MSF 70560 - each time you text this it donates £5.

Remember if you were unable to contrubute yesterday then you can still texf to make a £5 payment to Middlesbrough Foodbank.
Text MSF 70560 - each time you text this it donates £5
You can donate toys to the Salvation Army toys appeal at any of their shops or the Citadel on Southfield Road. I believe it was a couple of thousand gifts they gave to families last Christmas. Heartbreaking but also heartwarming.
Talking of warming you should be able fo donate warm clothing as well as boots to MFC Foundation at the Herlingshaw Centre, Eston or the Riverside - call in the shop is probably best.

Many thanks to all that helped.
