Impartial BBC?

Equivalent of 1404 complaints every single day of the year.

Ridiculous when you think about it… any other organisation would be removing managers and doing whole scale reviews.

the BBC on the other hand give back slaps and handshakes before increasing the precept

Half of them are right wingers complaining it's left wing bias; the other half left wingers complaining it is right wing bias.

Its always had Tories saying it's left wing bias, which is the biggest con ever.
Its an establishment tool, it's programming now shows absolute garbage 3 parts of the time. It needs to go to subscription the Tories won't do it,so Labour need to do it on the sneak it they ever get in.
poor people being taxed for fvk wit dancing on a Saturday night and Tory TV.

That's right, far too many classic programmes. The home of Sir David Attenborough. The envy of nations the world over. Get rid.
Don't get me wrong all that is brilliant but they have controversy after controversy. A shameful organisation.

The quality of some of the programmes is exceptional but what you have to remember is they would be produced regardless of if they were on the BBC or any other channel… they are produced and created by individual companies and then the work is sold to the network…. The BBC produces very little of its own work these days and it usually stick out a mile as it is rubbish

But is it really? It's all about context and balance, ironically, given the subject matter.

It's undeniable that the BBC has made some very poor choices over the years; Saville, Cliff Richard, Bashir to name only three, but to label the whole organisation, especially in its current form, in such sweeping terms is I think unfair.

The fact that the BBC is publicly funded obviously brings its actions into even sharper focus, because it is part of public life, and rightly so.

The the real question for me is why the Conservatives are so driven to undermine and control an organisation that is meant to be fundamentally impartial?

What are they scared of exactly?

Yes, thats the solution, make it’s prime aim profit, what could go wrong.
Back under the bridge for you matey,
Why accuse me of trolling? I have my opinion and you have yours. That isn't trolling. I respect anyone's opinion in this thread and its comments like yours that stop people airing opinions because they don't want to be accused or abused. Grow up.

A company who has so many wrongdoings against its name shouldn't be funded by tax payers. This is my opinion. The programming is often excellent and it would be a massive shame to lose that but the controversies overshadow this for me personally.
