5 points would all but guarantee us the play-offs.
We're 8 points above Southampton right now, and they play Wrexham on Tuesday, so one of them is dropping points.
So a minimum of 7 points above 7th, with 18 to play for.
The only way we could drop out with 5 more points is if both Wrexham and Southampton won all their remaining games..

If we get 5 points then Southampton need 14 points to finish above us, thats them getting 2 points a game which is certainly doable.
Wrexham would need a point less to go above us if the above happens, obviously if they beat us on the last day that closes things right up as well.
We need 2 wins and a couple of draws but on current form it could be very tight.

Wrexham would need 13 points from a possible 18, with the next game being against Southampton.
Lose to Southampton and they'd need 13 points from 15.
If they beat Southampton, they make it less likely for both of them to leapfrog us.
That's in a scenario of Boro dropping 13 points from a possible 18 too.
It's only tight if we do very badly in the final 6 games and they do better than they've done all season.
We're currently in the worst run we've been on under Hellberg, and we've picked up 8 points from 18.

8 points lead on Southampton who have a game in hand or 7 points lead on Wrexham. One of you is offering a 50/50 bet and the other 2/1 so your not that confident then. At least offer some better odds than that it you’re so confident.

Ok fair enough so we likely hang onto the top 6 by a few points then but I think we finish closer to 7th on points than 2nd.
The hope now is we get players fit for the last few games and then regroup for the playoffs like Sunderland did last season.

I get behind the team every game but that doesn't stop us being emotional online its two seperate things.
We are not playing badly but we seem to have lost the knack of being able to win games, we look very fragile at the moment. Normally in a run like this you'd look at games like Sheff Wed and Portsmouth as bankers but we even struggle to put teams like that away now.
