I'm A Celeb - Matt Hancock

I never watch this programme, not my cup of Kangaroo pi** at all.

My view on it is that it's abhorrent that someone is able to profit from the deaths of tens if not hundreds of thousands of people.

Any money he has been given by ITV should probably be frozen under the proceeds of crime act.
I did hear that he's donating half of his fee to a charity.

How about donating the full fee to the NHS?

ITV knew exactly what they were doing when they signed him up for the show. The producer's will be hoping the other campmates end up giving him a rough time and make it an awkward atmosphere. Remember when Lady C was in the jungle, and ended up arguing with near enough every campmate - it's great television for some people.

At the same time, as much as I dislike Hancock, I found it a bit hypocritical of Boy George to take the moral high ground and speak about wanting to leave the show because of him. Isn't this the same guy who kidnapped a Male prostitute and beat him with a metal chain?
I've heard this hypocrisy about Boy George before. The difference being he admitted to, and paid for, his crimes. Hancock has yet to

That's true but George's victim has come out in the press and slammed him for agreeing to appear in the show.
I would be surprised if he had acted otherwise. BG has been punished for what he did and like any convicted person who has served their punishment deserves to be allowed to continue their career. You don't have to like it and the victim is very unlikely to but that is the law. So, unless you are advocating that everyone who has ever committed a crime in a certain subset be forever ostracised from society (beyond the obvious - pedos etc.) then I think we have to either vote with our remote controls or get over it.

Absolutely not - in fact it's the complete opposite. I believe in people being given second chances. The point is, Boy George is somebody who has been given a second chance and has been able to continue his career, yet he doesn't appear to agree that others should be afforded the same privilege.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the fact that Hancock is in there, but George's victim feels the same way about George being in there. Just imagine how difficult it must have been for George's victim to stomach if he watched last nights' episode, and had to listen to George saying he wanted to leave because of Hancock.

Yeah, Boy George sat there all sanctimonious grated on me, he shouldn’t be in there either, what’s the saying, people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Maybe it is over simplifying it but if Boy George had chained a woman to a radiator and beaten her with a chain before threatening to sexually assault her with a sex toy, would he be the media darling he is now?

I enjoyed last nights episode, thought Seann Welsh enjoyed his company too, though watching him wash himself was a bit too much 😁

The camp are very unsure of his presence & TBH, hes stood up to it, he knew & was most likely told, what to expect off his camp mates & the voting public

To think he was a senior Minister running this country last year - its shows how low the intelligence base is and how ethically debased the UK's highly centralised political system is.

We used to laugh at Italy having a porn star MP we semed to have dropped lower.
