Ikpeazu

All you want to see is the effort put in , because thats what our alleged forwards lacked last year , heart, he has not been at a place like ours thus far so will love it . V good 1st half from him

Fans can handle anything as long as a player puts in a shift. You'd think it's a 'giver' but we know from previous forwards it's not.

He is an absolute handful. You can see why he ran us ragged last season. Actually 'occupying' 2-3 defenders by himself.

He's the antithesis of Britt, knows his limits but works hard to get the most out of his ability, unlike the waster who thinks he's Shearer and doesn't need to work to win. Uche will outscore Britt and Fletchers total from last season by christmas.

Just nice to have a striker who, no matter how well or otherwise things go for him, will at least make sure the opposition defenders know they've been in a game. Half the time with Britt and Fletcher you felt they could have got deckchairs out.

I doubt he'll be prolific, but if he helps the team score more goals, he's done his job. If I was a winger or an attacking midfielder I'd love playing with him.

Cult hero in the making for me.

I think he's probably a 10 goal a season man. Yet he offers so much to the team. I think as stated he has limitations but also a lot of useful tools.

Imagine him even coming off the bench? It's just nice after a year of captain fantastic Britt ambling around and smiling.

He was absolutely superb today, still don’t think he was good at Fulham but like I said last week we didn’t help him at all, today we did. We got bodies running off him and near him and he flourished because of that.

Ikpeazu, Jones and Crooks, give them all man of the match for me, all brilliant.

Just shows you don’t have to spend money in this division. Those 3 cost £1m, Fletcher, Britt and Gestede cost just shy of £30m.

Agree with that, I couldn't separate them.
He may not be technically brilliant
I would argue that he is actually pretty decent with the ball at his feet and holds the ball up pretty well. I was nearer the North Stand so didn't have a good view of his goal but it looked like he took it well. He should have scored from a great cross from Jones in the second half but paradoxically he isn't great in the air. But with the ball on his feet he is very difficult to dislodge and unlike many big guys seems to have a "low centre of gravity" and good close control. I think as much as anything we need to learn how to feed him.

Another who impressed today, puts in a shift and wins most of his battles, if we can get some players playing off him he will be a right handful.

A bit worrying he can only last 60 minutes though as we don’t look as effective when he goes off.
