Ikpeazu, Hernandez, JLS, Browne

Hope we don't sell him to a rival!
On the other hand, if you are judging these players aren't good enough for our team then we should have no fear of them playing for a rival as by definition that would make them not as good as us. Anyway it'll take MB months to get up to speed even if he doesn't have anymore injuries so I wouldn't worry about it.

From the press conferernce (Wilder):

“Big Uche has been made available for loan or permanent transfer.

“His personality is fabulous and I think for other styles and systems he would be better suited. But the way we want to play, I’ve been open and honest with him, his game-time is going to be very minimal.

“So in terms of balancing the books we’ve made him available.

“Marcus Browne is in talks with a couple of clubs over a permanent move. James Lea Siliki has been informed that he is available as well because Riley [McGree] coming into the group.

“And Onel Hernandez is in talks with a couple of clubs. Onel has been great for me, same as Uche. But he’s a wide player who plays in 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 as a wide player.

“He’s done a job for us down the middle and he’s give it a right good go. I’ve got say, for a lad who’s come on loan and then we’re making this decision, he’s one of the best pros I’ve worked with. He’s been a joy.

“But from a financial point of view too, it’s quite a big number that we’re paying for somebody that game-time will be limited for now.

“I’m looking at the top of the pitch now - Balugon, Connolly, Watmore and Sporar with Josh Coburn in there as well, a young player we’re delighted to work with and want to improve - so we’ve got five for two.

“From a financial point of view and balancing the squad off, it makes sense. And it makes sense for them too because they’re desperate to play regular football and no doubt they all will do that elsewhere.”

Brilliant to read that, clear, honest and also praising the outgoing players with a touch of class. Proper football manager.

Bit sad for Marcus Browne. I see the move away as inevitable given that he has had his injury problems and little opportunity recently but I always thought(hoped) he may come good.
I wonder if Wilder also wants to be fair to the player. After such a bad injury he need to be playing games.

It's not surprising those four are available to leave. Hernandez is the disappointing one. He's looked like a good player but hasn't really contributed much in goals or assists. That said, he's definitely more suited to a wide attacking role which Boro are not playing.

Not too surprised with that list to be honest.

Uche was never going to fit the type of forward Wilder was looking for. Wish him well though and think he could be an asset to a team who plays with a physical striker up top.

Browne has looked promising in limited spells (albeit not his fault). I'm not sure where he fits in either though. From what I've seen he's a number 10 (a position we don't utilise). Hasn't got the temperament/concentration to play in a midfield three in my opinion.

Hernandez would probably have stayed in my opinion if we hadn't sealed our striker targets. As we have there's little use for him. I don't see him as an effective wing back and as mentioned above we don't play with wingers.

JLS is completely understandable given his performances where he's looked incredibly out of sorts. Must admit I've been surprised by his contribution though. Definitely expected more from a player who was playing UCL last season alongside one of the best young midfielders in the world.

Disappointed about Uche. I thought that he offered a big physical presence, and was an option up front to change a game, and his goal against Mansfield was top class. But I appreciate that the manager has got other options now.

Browne needs to play 1st team football, and I cant see him getting that here any time soon, so we may as well cut him loose, let him rebuild his career after that awful injury & wish him the best.

I'm not too bothered about any of the others going.

Sheff U interested in Brown, might get 500k for him
Onel, wouldn't be surprised to see Forest go for him, their 343 works better for him
Uche, lower champ and top league 1 will all be looking at him, wouldn't be surprised if the Mackems might fancy him to get over the line
JLS - 2.3m agreemnt to sign him, so this will be putting public pressure on him to find a new club, the lad has shown absolutely nothing for us

The big surprise for me, is that Grant Hall wasn't mentioned, clearly not a Wilder type CB and is injured too often, has enough experience to be a valuable player for someone, and he's probably on a decent wage as a free signing. Seems to be our 5th choice CB, so limited game time, so would free up funds for elsewhere.

Hall might be injured

Uche Ikpeazu - an absolute beast, he won't be short of suitors in the championship. doesn't fit Wilders style of play
I've heard talk of Millwall but I think Reading will be pulling at the heartstrings (former Reading academy player)

Onel Hernandez - he's an absolute pleasure to watch.. he's not a wing back tho, again he wont be sort of clubs wanting him
QPR are currently sitting 5th and with talk of Albert Adomah moving this window I'm guessing this could be the one for Onel

James Lea Siliki - hasn't really happened for him here has it, looked promising on the youtubes.. more of a continental pace perhaps?
Using the 'Fletcher Hypothesis' I calculate that Watford is the most likely club for him to join on loan.

Marcus Browne - GUTTED, ABSOLUTLEY GUTTED! NOOOOO MARCUS NOOOOOOOO! Nigh on impossible task to come back from injury, break into a side with more established players. This kid is an absolute gem of a player, some shrew manager will get an absolute deelio on this one. Strikes me as a Mowbray type of signing.
Not surprisingly Oxford fans are screaming out for him.. he's better than that. Blackpool have made some shrewd moves! Browne for Blackpool?
