iFollow Issues

Football Supporters Association have been discussing with EFL fans issues with iFollow - a lot of people have reported problems and complaints of poor value for money etc. EFL have received many complaints already, as you can imagine
I wondered if Boro fans have bad experiences they would like bringing to the attention of EFL via FSA.

I've had no problems with it, either last season or this, but I'm an overseas subscriber... My complaints mainly relate to the crap deal the EFL made with TV, so that I don't get those games that are on TV (well, not via subscription).

Overseas subscriber to the MFC service. The first year was poor all round, but since then it's been fine and works 100% most of the time.

However, there are people who regularly report major problems. I'm far from an IT bod, but I'm sure it's down to compatibility or older software in some cases, but it could be a thousand other issues.

One thing that gets my goat is the adverts that just jump in over the build up.

As a season ticket holder I find it hard to complain, but if I had paid £10 (which I do for W/e away games), then listening to the build up is important.

If they are getting that sort of money why is there so many adverts?

I have also had issues with sound distortion and it cutting out from time to time.

I think my main point is @ £10 (you are talking £40/£50 a month) it should be a premium product which it is far from being.

Absolutely no issue with the quality of coverage for our home matches, it's largely been spot on, though I'd echo that the adverts are intrusive and I usually end up switching to BBC Tees until just before kick-off.

But I would say that a lot of the away coverage has been shocking, QPR's was pathetic and seemed like it was a guy recording on his phone.
I don't mind paying £10 for a game I wouldn't otherwise be able to watch, but you'd expect it to actually be a professional standard of coverage for that price.

Did you hear about the case in Scotland? I have no idea if any clubs use the technology in England but ICT use a system where the camera aims to automatically track the ball using AI. The problem was the technology got confused and instead thought the ball was the back of the linesman's head so most of the coverage focused on the linesman rather than the actual match.
