If Warnock doesn't stay

#27
I am quite surprised no one has taken on Chris Houghton.

His record is quite good for this division and it's even good in the Premier League.

He'd be definitely in my top #3 candidates if Warnock didn't stay on.
Just said no to Sheff Wed because they can't give him a big transfer budget. Something we won't be able to do either.

Tim Sherwood is being lined up. While much malinged, Tim is The Man Who Discovered Traore as well as having the best win percentage of any Tottenham manager ever. Gibson reckons having a few more players in like Traore could be just the lift the club needs and has earmarked Sherwood as the man for the job. Whilst he admired Woodgates plan to create an "Ajax of the North" on Teesside, Gibson was troubled by the team generally being **** and sees Sherwood's win percentage as being a way out of the problem.

If we dare dream...

Warnock stays on, we get promotion. He keeps us up in the prem.

We might then be able to attract a elite up and coming manager like Giovanni

I can't stop thinking that in the short and longer term the debacle against Swansea was a blessing for this football club.
Woodgate was a disaster so to get Warnock in is such a major step forward even if it's short term.
Hopefully Gibson will have finally learned his lesson and that old Boro boys aren't the way forward.
The hope is Warnock will either stay or be part of the decision making process in some other capacity.
He has his team around him, he's managing a club he's always wanted to,one last big opportunity to go out on a high, if Gibson gives him a decent budget well who knows.
For the first time in a long time I'm really looking forward to the next game, all of a sudden the spark is back,we will be organised,we will fight,we will have a game plan non of which we had under Woodgate and thats in a few days of taking over.
Imagine with time? Hey we could be a good team again.
C'mon Boro. .

The Only Seven Managers we have been looking at

Nigel Pearson - Dunno why he hasn't been here yet
Chris Hughton - Dunno why he hasn't been here yet
Alan Pardew - I've heard a few whispers..
Nigel Adkins - I don't rate him
Mark Hughes - I don't rate him
Neil Warnock - At Boro
Tony Pulis - Been at Boro

If Warno doesn't stay, Middlesbrough FC may as well fold as a football club.

We will never be as lucky to have such a classy gaffer again.

I honestly would prefer Woody back.

I honestly would prefer Woody back.
We love our managers to be unproven.. it feeds into our innovate underdog spirit.

Patrick Vieira - Head of the elite development squad, Manchester City
Steve Round - Arsenal Assistant
Liam Rosenior - Derby First Team Coach
Michael Carrick -Man Utd First Team Coach
Steve Holland - England Assistant

I can see one of them being our next manager over Alan Pardew (two of which we have spoken to recently)
