If Warnock chooses not to stay

Paul cook from Wigan. I also like Alex Neil but God knows why he would leave PNE.

Houghton would want a mega budget (heavily linked with Bristol City who are wedged).

Grant Leadbitter- Never thought about him managing before but could be a good shout long term. Maybe once he's picked up some experience elsewhere though

The thing is, its in his blood. I doubt he'd have come here for a few games and that Ronnie Jepson would pack in a full time job with Northampton to take a fleeting shot at keeping Boro in the Championship. I am certain Neil Warnock will still be here next season and I'm desperately hoping he is.
Second that weegord on, it's took us long enough to get him here, it's has to be more than 8 games 👍

My ideal scenario would be Warnock and his team to stay and his transfer policy to be sort of Golden Thread Lite. Yes bring his 'voices' in, but also pace and energy as well for the next manager to be able to utilise. At the end of this season the squad will be pretty young anyway.

I would love Paul Cook to be our next long term manager.
I think he will have lots of options/suitors, so it would be some move. His record is extremely good.

In the meantime, I am delighted we have Warnock to sort this squad out and launch us up that league.
I really believe he will have us upwardly mobile and making a late run for play offs next season if he is allowed the scope he should. And we know what happens when he makes play offs.

Warnock has done a great job but he's already 71 and lives in Cornwall, he's not likely to be very long term. Do we give him the job, re-shape the squad and then give someone else the job 2 years down the line who'll then want to bring in their own players?

I agree he can't be very long term, but 2 years with Warnock and I believe we will be in or very close to PL and in much better shape.
