I genuinely think this is it. With how loud and how resistant to reason the Borissettes are I'm convinced he's actively trolling the country. Seeing how much he can get away with. It's one of only two explanations as to how in the world Truss can be ForSec.

The other being that he's trying to find politicians more hated, useless and pathetic than him to make himself look better. And he's simply running out of patsies
 
Always seems unhinged to me, some of her speeches are just bizarre, all delivered accompanied by the scary smile of a lunatic.

The scary thing is the party membership absolutely love her.

Some commentators are pushing the line that she, being the darling of the membership, and his closest rival would best serve his interests by her being out of the country for long periods of time. Also it takes her away from being seen doing ‘world beating’ trade deals that allegedly help build Global Britain. Total BS
None of which, of course, begin to make the slightest dent in the reality of loss of trade with the EU.
The whole re-chuckle was for the benefit of less than 200,000 people. Bringing in the membership favourites for himself to consolidate his position. Might mean an earlier election than most think.
 
She's probably going to end up being the next leader once the inevitable coup comes next year some time. Sunak is popular but is starting to make unpopular decisions with Tory members, like raising tax so by next year his star will be waning

personally I think she would be a gift to the labour party - as clueless as Johnson but without his mass appeal to the easily lead and hard of thinking

I wish I could agree with that last sentence but surely the hard of thinking look after their own?

Seven years ago I'd have agreed. In a world where Trump and Johnson win elections I'm not so sure.

I thought it was obvious Johnson is an incompetent liar and Farage is an odious far right snake, but apparently not obvious enough.

So while I'd hope people would look at Truss and think WTF, I'm far from certain that'd be the case. I know the Tory party membership aren't representative of the country, but it's still staggering just how popular she is with them.

All bets are off for me.
 
Johnson cares only about Johnson…power, and using it. The Tory mp’s care only about keeping their jobs.
If they think their position is threatened by him remaining leader. He’s gone.
