Totally agree, we where linked with Roberto Carlos, Batistuta and the Spain International Central defender (can’t remember his name, but think he was nicknamed ’the butcher’ ) these guys where all on top of their again at the time…I’m sure Batistuta had agreed to come if we stayed up.Staying up under Robbo. The alleged list we planned to bring in was, I recall, frighteningly top quality. A once in a lifetime chance
Wasn't it Nadal?Totally agree, we where linked with Roberto Carlos, Batistuta and the Spain International Central defender (can’t remember his name, but think he was nicknamed ’the butcher’ ) these guys where all on top of their again at the time…I’m sure Batistuta had agreed to come if we stayed up.
Yes Nadal, I thought he was nicknamed Beast though, and it was Andoni Goikotxea who was the Butcher of Bilbao?Wasn't it Nadal?
Middlesborough
"Middlesborough"? Should be ashamed of yourselfIf the outcome would have been different, in your opinion which event would have had greatest impact for Middlesborough Football club?
Was Jim Platt a better keeper than Tim Williamson?Post of the day Corco65
For me big Jacks team winning the league championships in 1975, our best ever team & manager
We could have been another Forest
The question asked on the very day our best ever keeper Jim Platt came to our road party as a guest
I've voted and changed my mind already as well. Went for staying up under Robbo, basing my thoughts on the trajectory of the club, but am also now thinking that winning the UEFA cup would've been the right thing to vote for, would've been the pinnacle of my time watching the Boro.In fact I've already changed my mind.
Uefa Cup win would be something no-one could ever take away from us.
