So what would his job title be? Mascot? Cheerleader? While I’m not trying to poopoo on Leo, he’s a great human being, but I’m sure he doesn’t want peoples pity, as American Mary stated above, the guys got a great CV, he can make it in the world without our charity
 
Unbelievable some comments on here, when you think of all the no marks that have taken a wage from this club under the guise of a decent days work its Unbelievable.

Find Leo a roll that hes happy with. In the academy or working with Catts and the kids.

There is room for nothing except sentiment in football. Without it, it's just 22 blokes kicking an inflated bladder round a field.

He doesn't have to be involved with the first team, but there's plenty of academy roles that have never been allocated by the first team manager.

He doesn't have to stay on as part of Carrick's first team coaching staff though. From everything we've seen, Carrick will only be bringing in 3 or 4 of his preferred "back room staff." That leaves plenty of other positions open.

Even if it turns out to be more than that, there are still enough jobs in a football club that don't involve being part of the first team manager's innermost team.

Just to clarify, is it in your humble opinion or are you laughing your ar$e off? Or are you laughing your humble ar$e off? Or is it something else completely? I sometimes lose track of the acronyms.

I think Leo should stay at the club unless he decides to leave. There are enough roles within the coaching set-up to accommodate him. Same as Leadbitter & Cattermole. It depends on how far down the ranking he is happy to drop.
Although he will always have a massive presence and the new boss might see him as a threat/distraction I suppose.
 
Carrick is going to be a head coach, Scott, Bauser and whoever else won't move on, the players won't. Why should Leo? He's an asset and anybody who doesn't see him that way isn't worth being associated with the club.

Did anyone watch the inside the match day highlights from Wigan and see how he and Ashley Fletcher grated each other? The man commands respect and would be a massive help to anyone coming into the club.

Why is their no room for sentiment. Carrick is working for Gibson. How many on here have taken a job on condition that the owner of the company sack someone before you come in.
