ID Checks in Australia

I genuinely can't believe peoples initial response is 'dont do something wrong then'. What is wrong with you people?

A woman is being restrained by 3 large men who are kneeling on her face ffs. There were clear huge bruises after the fact and for what..

Where have we seen that before?

Firstly the thread title is 'Coming to a town or city near you'. But it's not really is it? That's just sensationalist nonsense.

Secondly where has anyone said "dont do something wrong then" on this thread. Nowhere. You're just making stuff up to suit your agenda.

Thirdly... any chance we can see the rest of the video leading up to this clip

Fourthly, if the daughter was also breaking the law, why are they not kneeling on her neck too ?

"Coming to a town or city near you"

For someone who often criticises the government and the media for scaremongering, this is a bit hypocritical of you Randy....

looks very manipulated/fabricated to me. The audio is certainly not from that video. That video could have been from any incident.

I could knock that up myself in 10 minutes. A video and a soundtrack from something else

There were pictures of bruises on a persons body. Would you like to see some more ?

Why is it scaremongering? It's actually happening in Australia if you look. There was a press conference the other night from a police chief over there who said his police officers were smashing car windows and dragging people out of cars because they refused to give details over, his words not mine.

"Coming to a town or city near you"

I do hope so. The biggest failure in this whole sorry episode is none of the rules have been enforced with any great effect. The government would go up in my estimation if they decided to enforce rules more strictly rather than just relying on the majority choosing to follow them.

I think hypocrisy is something he’s not shy too. I alluded to government corruption today and he jumped down my throat. Despite being a stern critic of the government most of the time. Odd

The thread previously known as 'Coming to a town or city near you '

Nice thread title change. But if you're still suggesting this will soon be happening in the UK you are aware we don't have ID let alone a requirement to carry any aren't you?

Thought it best to change after it caused distress.
Yes I am aware. Although I do think every legal citizen of the UK should carry one. Best practice. I carry my driver's license everywhere I go and I also have contacts on my phone easily identifiable by having ICE (in case of emergency) in front of my wife's name and brother's name.

You are so caring. You always seem to think that everyone is frightened, panicking, scared and now distressed.

They're not of course, primarily because they are blessed with the human condition of 'it'll never happen to me'. It's what enables us to carry on our lives regardless of the 'muck and bullets' flying about. Many are doing as they're asked in the belief that it will benefit the community as a whole, not particularly to protect themselves because 'it'll never happen to me' anyway.
