I note Farage has had his two penneth on the matter calling the RNLI a 'taxi service for illegal immigration'. As a result there has been a spike in donations to the RNLI.

Edit: Having watched 'Saving Lives at Sea' it's obviously a taxi service for people who would otherwise drown, and a good job they do as well. Fortunately they don't demand proof of your immigration status before hauling you out of the drink.
