I wonder how other championship sides feel about carrick

Under wilder our underperforming has allowed some of the sides around mid table to get higher than they’d probably expected ( as we were tipped for top half of not top 6).

I wonder how they feel at such a high profile and highly rated coach taking over.

I might have said this before. We don't know what type of a coach he'll prove to be, but he's a big name, he's massively ambitious. It's a fantastic appointment and I can't wait to see what he'll do with our team. There's no doubt we've turned some heads in our division.

I don’t think they’ll be that bothered to be honest.

Listening to TalkSport this week it seems when they’ve been talking about the championship they only seem bothered about the new West Brom manager before mentioning Carrick.

Agree.i expect teams at the bottom probably expect us to climb the table anywhere, teams at the top probably aren't giving us any thought

No Championship side has much to worry about Boro whoever the manager is. No midfiel, strikers who can’t hit a barn door with a banjo and a defense made of rice paper.

I expect to see improvement in all those areas now. Don't think the squad is actually that bad, just needs someone to get them playing as a team. Hopefully that will be MC.
Exactly this. I've been really negative about Boro recently, but I think we have the playing talent. We just need the right personality in charge to make it work. I think our players have been sapped of confidence.

The difference was we were creating a side to play like that by design so it was never going to change under wilder as he wanted that shape style.

Carrick is fresh eyes and so now nothing is off the table.

Fans of other clubs I know are wondering if it hasn't worked out under proven managers like Warnock and Wilder what difference is Carrick going to make, we're perceived as a club with something going fundamentally wrong at its heart, sadly we're classed as a bit of a basket case who were expected to challenge for promotion but are in a relegation fight, see WBA as another case in point, the appointment of Carrick is being seen as a bit of a gamble.

I'm all for fresh eyes! That's why I'm so positive about all this. Wilder came to us with a hell of a reputation, but we just stalled after the first few games. This is a fresh start and it feels good.

Completely indifferent I would imagine

Those really into their footy who know a bit about Carrick's background, coaching experience etc are possibly going to be interested to see how he'll do.

But yeah, if it was another club I'd be pretty indifferent I think. He's largely an unknown quantity.

Very different on the outside looking in.

It’s more who I’d be worried they’d attract in the window
