A lot of talk of ‘being unlucky’ or ‘poor referees’ is down to out lack of game management. Warnock talks of the lads being far too nice and he’s right. Mind you he’s coaching that a bit of bite in them. No more are we a team of soya latte drinking community support officers.

Don’t mind game management but getting booked for time wasting is counter productive And leads to longer injury times.

It's worked for us so far. I think psychologically it gives you an edge over your opponent as you're in controlling the flow of the game and it frustrates the opposition.

Yep, love it. Need to do absolutely everything possible to win a match. Karanka was well versed also - if we went 1-0 up in a match every time a Boro player was touched they'd have the physios on

Game management, didnt give up a chance after we scored which clearly shows its working. Imagine how much a woodgate side would have panicked with long balls into the box at the end of a game like that
