I think it's time to retire (FM content)

I've done 3 saves so far!

My first a Crystal Palace save, in my first season with the signing of a Alytar and Singo I managed to finish 4th. In my second season I somehow managed to win the CL and Caraboa Cup before in my third winning just the European Super Cup. I gave up mid way through season 4 to...

Do a Boro save. Promotion as outright winners first season, got Datro Fofana in to play up to (He's Chelsea bound IRL) and stormed the league. Second season we had an insane second half to the campaign finishing in 11th before being 5th in my 3rd campaign around December time but I put it on hold

For my Current save RB Salzburg. I wanted to see how far you could take youth and the whole, selling your stars replacing them with young talent kind of thing.
Won the league first season, Failed in Cup QF, Knocked out group stages of the CL but did get QF of Europa League.
Currently in my second season, playing a lot of the understudies/loan players from last season. Top of the league with ease, Beat Celtic 4-0 in first CL Group game..

I'm already considering stopping it and trying a harder challenge though, perhaps going from the Vanarama national to the PL
 
I’ve bought the FM games on occasion since 95 but always became frustrated and sacked them off. This is the first year I’ve given it a real go and gone in depth on researching tactics, training and scouting etc. absolutely loving it. In my 3rd season with boro and we’re sitting in 4th place in the PL after getting the second auto promotion spot in my first season and finishing 17th in my second. Properly addicted to uncovering wonder kids and selling cheap finds on for a profit. After 27 years I get it!
 
Need to get into Fm 00/01 again. Beast of a game, before it all got too complicated. Anyone remember wher you can download it, and also the current season updates?
 
I’m doing a Sir Alex Ferguson challenge at the minute and ended up with Leeds.

They have some great youths at the club, one in particular is Archie Gray, turns out he’s classed as a wonderkid. He was winning all sorts of awards for me, worldwide too. Have a look to see if you can pick him up on the cheap on your saves.

I’ve got him and Jobe Bellingham running my midfield at the minute.

There is a Facebook group I follow. I haven’t done it myself but it seems pretty straightforward to download all of the older versions, including 00/01. People constantly post with their progress.
 
I also spend far too much time on FM. I’m old school and don’t like change ☺😅
I’m currently still playing 2012 despite having newer versions. I know I would get used to the newer ones but don’t want to invest time in the transition.

I was gutted when they removed the ability to declare your dislike for people to the press. Used to slate Harry Redknapp and Big Sam non-stop.
