I don't think we'll see much more of Britt

Just a hunch, but he knows he is off in the summer regardless and I can't see Gibson's comments yesterday going down too well with him. No surprise that he had a mystery illness last night. I guess we'll see if he features on Saturday, but the fact he brought Nmecha on before him against Leeds suggests all is not well.

did Gibson mention him?

He alluded to him by stating it wasn’t Woodys fault as it was finishing that cost us . Everybody thought of him

I think he'll genuinely be ill.

But we won't see much more or him anyway, only 10 games left and he won't be starting on Saturday.

The club have to try and move him on in the summer too, in to the last year of his contract and they need to try and recoup some of his fee.

Don't forget the form he was in combining with Ashley Fletcher before Pratley put him out with that awful challenge - I can imagine Britt wanting to make a scoring return against Pratley's Charlton on Saturday.

His performances have been disgraceful since he came back into the side, and I wasn't surprised when I found out he wasn't even in the matchday squad last night.

After his performance against Leeds, I said I don't want to see him play for the club again and I stand by that. Would rather see O'Neill get a chance ahead of him.

Right now I don’t really care about the goals he misses and what he might lack off the ball . He can score enough goals to keep us up but he needs to play consistently , he can’t do it from the bench . Plus if we want to sell him in the summer we’d get a better fee if he’s in double figures . He’s got double figures the last 6 seasons or so , what bottom 3 side doesn’t want a striker that gets double figures .
Wing may well pick himself now based on goals he’s scored . We’ve only got wing, fletcher and Britt that make the difference goals wise .

There's paper talk of O'Neill going back to Darlo on loan for the rest of the season. Maybe we could send them Assombalonga instead.....

Please don't tell me one more appearance triggers a three year contract extension on double money.

I said last night it was nice to be playing with 11 men again as Brit might as well not bother hes that lazy. Leeds was shocking. That half arsed attempt to win the ball says it All

I’m still astonished we recruited him in the first place. Any football man would tell you he’s lazy, slow, weaker than he looks (and cowardly with it). At least he’s a good fin.....oh :(
£15M FFS

Personally, I think Britt is struggling to return to sharpness after a really nasty injury. Anyone that has suffered an achilles injury or the like knows it takes a long time before it is as strong. But he was putting himself much more and chasing back etc a lot more this season too. He scores in streaks doesn't he - but if he can get into a goal-den streak in the final games of the season it could make a world of difference. Especially if a returning Ayala strengthens the defences as well.

I didn't realise until today that we only paid £15m because that was his release clause.
