'He is working ever so hard': Neil Warnock reveals when Browne will return after major setback
Neil Warnock says Marcus Browne is working ever so hard to be fit for next season as the winger continues his recovery from injury.

Browne suffered cruciate ligament damage during Boro’s FA Cup defeat at Brentford in January but has been recuperating behind the scenes.
“He won’t be available, I think, until September, October,” said Warnock when asked about the 23-year-old. “He is working ever so hard.”
“You know like I said to you about how you change your mind about somebody, I didn’t like Marcus when I first came to the club, I’ll be honest with you.
“Not that he had a chip on his shoulder but I didn’t like his attitude at times and had a couple of words with him. I was thinking of letting him go.
“He just changed and he’s been remarkable. I feel really sorry for him, he was really playing well when he got injured, looked as if he could do that job for me and was buzzing in training.
“It’s hard when you’re injured to train like they do but I’ve been really impressed with Marcus, he’s really trained hard and he’s looking forward to trying to get in that squad again.”
Boro have been without several first-team players due to injury in recent weeks, with Dael Fry, Anfernee Dijksteel, Marcus Tavernier and Sam Morsy all sidelined.
Warnock is confident the aforementioned players will be ready for the start of pre-season though.
“I hold my staff responsible that the likes of your Tavs and Daels and Dijksteels are ready to come straight back in on July 1 and do everything,” added Warnock.
“So it’s up to them when they bring those players back in full-time. Maybe it has to be two weeks.
“We have to do that. We’ve been looking into Dael’s problem, for example, and we feel there are certain things he can do to eliminate that because he’s had that problem twice now.
“So he has a program designed to help him eliminate that.
“And we’re looking at all the other lads too because we want them all 100 per cent fit.
“Dael, Tav, Dijksteel and Morsy – I think they’ll all be fit by Tuesday! All I know is that those four lads know what they’ve got to do in the summer.
“Dijksteel will be going home, but he’s got a fitness guy over there that he uses, that we talk to on Zoom.
“He knows it’s a big season for him next year. He’d better not let me down, and he knows that.
“In fairness, I’ve not seen him in as good a condition as he is now. He’s been really working hard. He’s had to because we won’t let him go home until he’s 100 per cent.
“All the lads are the same really. You don’t have to say anything to Sam Morsy, he’s just a dream. He wants to be fit, he wants to kick everybody. We don’t have to worry about him, he’ll be training every day because, to him, every day is like a bonus.
“He’s playing at a club like Middlesbrough, and that’s Sam Morsy’s dream. He’s an absolute gem.”
