I’m officially worried now

Wilder could easily tell us why Hoppe isn’t in the squad - and, frankly, should
Given the few mins we saw of him Im not surprised he is not on the bench.

I do appreciate it was only a few mins but im pretty sure if he was anyrhing special we would be seeing him.

Brings us back to the point of we had an unexpected transfer windfall which we failed to deliver first team players. Now we are reaping what we sowed

Hoppe will play for the u21’s again today, and if he scores again, he deserves a chance in the match day squad.

Wilder made a big thing about squad numbers, and the fact that both Forss and Hoppe weren’t allowed 9 or 10 tells you everything you need to know about Wilder‘s agenda. Even something as irrelevant and petty as that is used by him.

This side is seriously lacking any mf creativity and the manager doesn’t seem bothered.

I think there are serious problems behind the scenes (that’s my own opinion other may disagree and that’s fine) but to see the likes of hoppe cast aside when we can’t hit barn door is just baffling.

That mf has no legs at all and whoever though mowatt is the answer wants shooting let alone sacking.

Btw watmore and muniz never stopped running.

But yep I’m now officially worried.
What about those fans you called idiots for coming on here after after a game and criticizing the team ?

What it tells me is that Muniz was coming in and we were trying to buy another striker as our main two. We know there were bids in for Larsen and Riis.

I agree. It’s not for want of trying but as I say for whatever reason, and I think this is where we don’t have a consensus as fans, is why our targets are choosing not to come to the Club. Money (probably) area (possibly)
Definitely both. The training ground used to attract players (quite rightly too) but lots of other clubs have caught up and got their own superb facilities.

The problem is, is there isnt much option to change it.

We need to get the overlapping runs of Crooks, Dijksteel and Jones going again on the right and try and get the same from Mcnair at LCB (Best position), Giles and Mcgree on the left, as the manager knows this is where the chracter of players gets tested and you see who is up for the battle, get Chuba back fit and have him a d Muniz playing together upfront and start zipping the ball around quicker, we are taking far to long to move the ball!

I really think we will get back to our best in due course, if not the club will change it at the World cup break!

I would be even more worried if someone spies Warnock on a bike ride through Hurthworth on Tuesday.
Or if someone spotted a miserable 6ft clown in a baseball cap wandering around Rockliffe.

It is obvious where the blame lies for failing to get the required number, and quality of players in that was required. Our recruitment team had plenty of time to identify and secure the deals required to bring the squad up to the standard needed to challenge for promotion this season. There simply are no excuses, and I’m sick and tired of hearing the endless excuses and cliches trotted out in an attempt to pacify supporters over the failure to get players in. This pre season recruitment drive has been a massive failure on all levels, leaving the manager and fans totally exasperated and annoyed that once again we start a season ill equipped to deal with the rigours of a championship season. The fact the club are desperately scratting around trying to find free agents to plug the gaps in the squad says it all - and where is the chairman in all of this. What are his thoughts and why the total silence from him ?

This club has deeper problems than Chris Wilder.

To begin with, remove all of our loaned players and see what you're left with. A bang average side that would be rooted to the foot of the table. Whoever the manager may be come January/next summer needs backing otherwise league one beckons
Well the new manager seems to have improved the side....

Certainly has, huge improvement on Wilder. It's amazing what a bit of confidence, structure and purpose can achieve. The return of Akpom and introduction of Hackney has been a huge boost.
