I’m not a proper Boro Fan.

Inspired by the other post today, I’ve only got 17 priority points.

Never eaten a parmo. Think they look disgusting and no doubt taste disgusting.

Never been in the Bongo, the navvy, the Hairy Lemon, or half the pubs in town.

Am a Southerner by birth.

I don’t particularly hate Sunderland. I’ve got a few mackem mates that I have bit of banter with.

I have climbed Roseberry Topping though.

Guess I should be a Man United fan really.

I have no points and my first match was 1988. But due to work and finances I've never had a seaon ticket but get to matches when the situation allows.
Parmos are god awful too.
Being a boro fan is a state of mind....attendances etc don't matter...if you love the team, you love the team and thats all that matters.

And them pubs you mentioned...been to the hairy lemon once...and that was enough!!

I too have Mackem mates...my best mate is a geordie fan....makes the banter funnier.

no idea how many priority points I have, or how to find out
was veggie before I’d heard of Parmo’s
Do go to the Navi, but never been in the others
am from Durham villages by birth
Dont really mind geordies, father in law played for them and I can tolerate mackems, just
Never done Roseberry Topping, hate heights and the day I decided to do it there was a massive thunder storm.
Guess I’ll always be a Boro fan, all the years I went with the owld feller it’s my DNA now.

Don’t know why going into any of those pubs would make you a boro fan?
Am a Southerner by birth.
Possibly a super fan?

Duncan Watmore & Paddy McNair used to play for them!
I have climbed Roseberry Topping though.
Did you whistle pig bag at any point?

No

Yes
Just on the point about Pig bag I’ve got the cd single of reach up.

Does that make me a proper fan?

I’ve also got the 1997 let’s dance cup
Final CD. Not that I got a ticket. Watched in in digs in Breckon Hill Road. Crap game wasn’t it.

Well I was born in Guisborough,
Not had a Parmo for at least 25 years, they are ok.

The closest I came to getting in the Bongo was after the ZDS semi against Villa when I was hanging around Town waiting for my NX back to London, I came across a lot of lads who had been kicked out of there for celebrating too hard.

I have been in all the pubs old and new over the years but I prefer semi quiet ones on Match day away from the ground but not too far.

A Yorkie by birth, but with a small y I feel more allegiance to the Republic of Teesside where I was not Born but have 2nd passport for.

I don't hate Sunderland, growing up in East Cleveland I had more Leeds mates and enemies who I do hate

Climbed RT and been up catnab more times than I remember.

Partied hard at Philmores and the Top Deck in my late youth

Im a typical east clevelander who doesn't know most things about 'down the town' but are Reds through and through.

I rarely get to the match these days but would still consider myself a fan. Tried one parmo years ago (again before reverting to vegetarianism) and couldn't finish it - it was sickly. Been up Roseberry Topping. Wouldn't know a priority point if I fell over one in the street. Been in the Bongo & the Navvy but not the Hairy Lemon (is that the Pig now?) Don't mind mackems and live among geordies, who are a canny bunch, albeit deluded.

I'm a Teessider and a Boro fan til I die, such things travel around with you in the blood.

Ah yes philmores and the top deck, plus sandpiper and Leo’s, then home on the last bus with Doris as the conductor. Wouldn’t mess with her.

How we used to do a ‘half to Skelton please’ stinking if booze I’ll never know, but that last bus back from Redcar on a Friday night was brilliant.

I only lived in Middlesbrough for 4 years from birth. Then the parents moved us to leafy Cumbria.

I've now been on the south coast for 24 years. So lived down here as long as 'up north'. Apparently still maintained my northern twang.

I don't mind a parmo. I have one as a takeaway when I go up north for the footy. Thats probably 2-3 times a year. Yet always ties in with a home game.

Hairy lemon was always my go to pre match pub. I still go in under its new guise. So I guess I can claim that one.

I am actually working with 5 geordie contractors. They are class and a very funny 'breed'. Although get sick of the constant 'we've got super Eddie Howe' songs 😂

What make us Boro fans?

No idea how many points I have or how to check. It won't be that many. I've had season tickets, not currently though, and often bought along with my brother and both bought in his name.

Had two Parmos. Not really for me, but less greasy than I expected and both were more recently than you'd think. I don't like lemontops either.

I have been in the Bongo and the navvy, not the Hairy Lemon. First club. Was the Maddison. Have had an ice cream at Rea's.

Born in the General.

I don’t particularly hate Sunderland. I’ve got good mackem and Geordie mates. I don't like the smugness that comes with some fans or the awful behaviour on the terraces. Football isn't just for angry drunk lads and their dads.

I have climbed Roseberry Topping, and all of our surrounding hills and along all of our beaches.

I tried being a Manchester United fan in 1976 - I grew out of it.

I'm no more or less a fan, than most, in my opinion. Those that travel home and away are something else, I can't imagine how fitting everything else in life in is possible, but hats off.

Ha! You can sing back to them now that we’ve got super Michael Carrick!
Being Bar codes, they should appreciate it more!
