Didn't they say at the press conference yesterday that he's making a slower recovery than expected so not likely to be back for at least another two weeks. Sounds to me like we are unlikely to see him again in the regular season.

I'll be gutted. I'd love to see him in the top flight wearing a Boro shirt.
That said you can't knock him for leaving. He will leave with my blessing. Also get a cracking reception if he ever returns to the Riverside with his new side.
I hope he gets a good move. Hopefully not to some relegation fodder side. I'd love to see him go to a Villa or Everton type side. I think he's good enough for a top 10 side.

Villa to replace McGinniesta or Everton would be great moves for him, same. Kind of clubs who will nurture a talent and not just replace him with the next cab off the rank. One of those, or somewhere like Porto would be great moves.
I actually think he’s exactly the kind of player Man United need, but that will never happen.
