I’d argue that this is the worst strike force we’ve ever had

You all complain about Woodgate but what does Robbie Keane actually do? Surely he is the attacking coach and should be improving these strikers. Not one of them can hold the ball up, make intelligent runs, head the ball to a colleague or take a defender on. Oh and score a goal.

Keane wasn't even on the team coach yesterday. He was following in a white car. Either he still lives in the area or that's shocking discipline from a coach.

Britt - Decent striker at this level but clearly doesn't want to be here. Can't wait to see the back of him to be honest.

Fletcher - Struggles to get the basics right at times but a half-decent finisher. If he'd been our no 9 all season he'd probably have 12-13 goals to his name right now.

Gestede - He has had bad luck with injuries. Reality is though if you have him in the side you can only play one way. He's completely useless as an impact sub as he makes zero impact.

Nmecha - What were we actually expecting of this lad? He scored 4 goals during his time with Preston, so was never likely to come here and score goals.

All roads lead back to recruitment. We haven’t signed a truly good player that we genuinely needed and who improved the team for a long, long time.

We've spent an absolute fortune bringing in poor managers and poor players, over paying as we did so.

At some point we surely have to address it. We have a dreadful manager and a dreadful coaching team. The manager doesn’t know what to do and is just throwing stuff at the wall and hoping something sticks. The team on the pitch reflects that: no heart, no desire, no shape, no discernible patterns of play.

I may be gullable but when I heard Woodys press conference regarding high pressing football etc then I was looking forward to his time in charge & let's be honest the Luton game & 1st half display v Brentford we looked attractive
I think, IMHO, were he went wrong is he's hoping to build his twams around this high pressing etc as we didn't have the clientele when he took over
At least if Woody does go we've got a ready made replacement in Keane who according to some in the media tes destined to be a top manager, don't understand where they get that from mind

Paul Sugrue and Andy Crawford, guess its all which perspective you look at it
Again I’m not talking about team selections I’m talking about strike force as in all attacking options in the squad at the time.
Sugrue was 82-85 so look at the strikers attacking options in the squad at the time.
That is my point.

Taking into consideration the much improved sports science side of the game and how fit the modern player is, I'd suggest that this lot would struggle even if they were transported back in time to when six packs existed only in the offy.

I actually don't agree - the strikers, much like the rest of the team, are much better than they are showing at the moment.

Whilst I don't think the squad is as strong as the one Pulis had at his disposal, its certainly more than good enough to be comfortably in the top half, with a bit to spare.

Woodgate is a young manager with a difficult ask and its showing in the results.

When your creativity comes exclusively from two very young and inexperienced wing backs who wouldn't even have been in consideration but for injuries then your squad isn't good enough.

Our strikers don't create enough problems for the opposition. In the absence of consistent service they've been found lacking in ability to make things happen for themselves.

We should maybe try Ravel Morrison in behind Britt and see.if he can put some chances in there for him. RM seems to be playing too deep to affect the game in the final third at the minute.

As his many other clubs will probably testify Ravel Morrisson may look like a possible answer, but he very rarely is.

I have mentioned this earlier, mentioned in a while back
He doesn't seem to bring anything to the table, he must be there for Woodgate too
