Hunt - Truss plans were good thing to aim for

'Hunt praised Truss for “accepting the mistakes she’d made with good grace” and repeatedly refused to accept her plans had left a long-term impact on the economy'

When did she accept any blame for anything?

And my mortgage interest is certainly still feeling the effects 😡
It's remarkable, she refuses to accept ANY of that budget was a mistake.
If stupidity was a virtue she would be a paragon of it.

I’m starting to wonder whether she’s more of a comedy figure - or will end up having some believe her and become dangerous
The Trump victory and the traction Reform are getting in the polls does make me wary of underestimating the ‘appeal’ of the doctrine Liz Truss seems to be aiming for

In Truss’ case, we’ve had our spoonful of that and it was very brief but abysmal period of time. I think she’s just doing all she can to stay relevant and continue her grift.

There’ll be some people paying the price (literally) in mortgage payments for years to come.

My biggest concern would be somebody like Johnson worming his way back in. Kemi is only going to send The Tories further down the rabbit hole to a position which can only help Reform and make Tories even more unelectable (if she lasts that long).

I can see Johnson making a return in the next 4 years. “Unfinished business” etc. He’d be popular amongst Tory Members, and amazingly still holds some popularity with some of the electorate. They’ll see him as the lesser of two evils.

His previous misdemeanours will be forgotten by some people or people will give him a second chance.

Labour have got to get this next 4 years right and deliver.

Not sure if they want Johnson back they should be concentrating so much on the grooming gang stuff. His famous "money spaffed up a wall" quote was specifically about spending on investigating it. Spaff

Liz is right though. It wasn't her. It was all those woke commie City bond traders who didn't understand her economic genius.

''The importance of free speech in an MPs’ constitutional role is recognised and he or she is granted a special immunity. The Defamation Act 1996 provides that an MP is protected from legal liability for “words spoken or things done in the course of, or for the purposes of or incidental to, any proceedings in Parliament”. This applies to speeches, submissions or giving evidence to the House or a committee, preparing documents for the purpose of either of the above, or communications with the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards.''

Would not apply to press releases etc.

Farage called her budget, the greatest Tory budget he'd ever seen. Labour should consider that as an attack line against both the Tories and Reform.

A great big poster, up and down the country with both their faces on it, with a big heart in the middle and the result of her budget written inside it and Farage's quote supporting it.
