Hundred Club

I went in there once with my Dad years ago he some how got tickets from ICI when we played Norwich in the old first division. We won 1 - 0 Souness scored I think , anyways we went top of the league as all the other team matches we postponed because they had international players for mid week games, we had no international players at the time. I remember a load of fans in the holgate would not go home until the players came back out to acknowledge them, heady days. Also remember getting free tea and sandwiches at half time and my dad could get a pint after the game!

At Ayresome Park - anyone remember - hospitality in old main stand.
Have I got that name right?
I use to get invited in there after some Boro matches
Remember going in there after beating Newcastle 4-1 on the final game of the season to stay up the place was buzzing

Correct, the 100 Club it was. I was lucky enough as a 17 year old to go along with my cousin in the 74/75 season, my uncle was quite often busy with on match day so I had the use of his ticket. I did feel a little out of place in my duffle coat and red and white scarf surrounded by business people and their partners, but I enjoyed the food at half time. PS I still wear the same scarf to this day,
The end of this treat came before the home defeat to Leeds United, Allan Clarke scored the winner. After that it was the Holgate End for me 👍UTB

The only proper box I ever got was from Heritage Hampers because I knew their niece. Took my dad (Wednesday fan). Bloody brilliant
Had a second, work one, which was an embarrassing **** up. Might've been Boro Ipswich. I wanted to watch the footy, everyone else just wanted to get pissd

That match was the one and only time in my whole Boro career that I got to touch the match ball and throw it back!

I remember going in there with my old man when we played our friendly with the Chinese national team.
I was under instructions to fill my Parker with as many sausage rolls as humanly possible.

The only time I ever got invited in there was through a mates dad from ICI for Dean Glovers return with Port Vale. It came across as a very weird cross between a working men's club and a posh box at the horses. I was on a downer due to match score though even if Deano gave us a chance by missing 1 pen

junos, was that the game we were winning 2-0 only to lose the game 3-2, with their 3rd scored at the holgate end

Used to go a lot as a guest of a local company who had a bunch of tickets, always enjoyed it. Only problem was my seat in the main stand was right behind a support girder 🙈. Went to the ZDS final with the same bunch of lads.

Yes, all three of their goals at Holgate in 2nd half after we were 2-0 up early in 2nd half

Yep remember that game well, didn't realise Deano missed a penalty mind

Season ticket holder in the South terrace back then, the only goal I remember, if my memory serves me is their 5th, when the PV player walked it around Pears, I'll watch it now junos, let's see if its how I've described

I remember my fellow school pupil Martin Henderson boasting regularly about going into the Hundred Room in the 76-78 seasons. Give me the Holgate any day.

Why didn't Pears just stay still for his 2nd (or was he worried about damaging a finger from the power)
