Hull sack their manager

There were 4 teams with access to parachute payment money, and squads to match. Leeds, Liecester, Southampton and Norwich.

Hull realistically finished 3rd out of the teams they were competing with on a "level" playing field, only Ipswich and WBA finishing above them. Absolutely no way should he have got the sack.

You could maybe make a stronger argument if he had Carvalho the full season.

The wife was involved in delivering an event at a school in Billingnam last week and she said nearly all the kids had Newcastle shirts on. The odd Liverpool, Man U and City, and only one Boro top.

Glass houses.
To be fair my Nephew is a Boro fan, 12 year old, a Boro fan and gets a Boro shirt every season, but he also had last seasons Tottenham shirt with Kane on, he has a Man City Haaland top and he also has a Liverpool Salah top. He has a Portugal Top with Ronaldo on, an Argentina shirt with Messi on. Wearing a top doesn’t mean they are a fan of that team it could just be a certain player.

I think he deserves to go to be honest. He had a lot more quality than we did this season and ended up with 3 more points,
Carrick would have done better with that squad.

Extract taken from X:
Acun Illicali has just told @talkSPORT that he sacked Liam Rosenior @HullCity because his style didn't suit the club and provide the attacking, entertaining football he wanted.
Take from that what you will, I find it it quite ruthless, it has Watford written all over it.
Sounds to me like rich bloke who knows nowt about football chucks toys out of the pram.

I'd be very concerned if I was a Hull fan.

Sounds to me like someone who has come under a bit of pressure after the media almost universally panned his decision. He is now frantically attempting to justify that decision to save face.

He completely under achieved, no consistency, rarely beat any teams above them, looked good for about 60 mins each game.

Had so many good players who would have walked into our team at various points in the season. We only finished 3 behind them with a much depleted squad for most the season.

Philogene
Roberts
Carvalho
Giles
Greaves
Seri
Zaroury

He does seem a nice guy though and someone who will have a good future in management but i can totally understand why he was sacked.

I obviously haven't watched him too closely (just highlights here and there), but on the face of it there's no way I'd have Delap over Latte Lath in our side.
But you would definitely have Carvalho and Philogene over any of our plays playing LF, No10 or RF. Zaroury is pretty decent as well as Tufan. They had a lot more quality in those positions IMO.

He may or may not be better than latte or coburn but hes certainly better than the gaping hole we left for a striker in our squad. He would have been a better option than greenwood up front i feel.
