Hugo Lloris

He was a top quality keeper for years, consistently right up there as one of the best of the time, in the premier league.
Age has caught up with him now though, understandably at 36.
This is spot on, he may just be past it now but he was at one stage one of the best In the world.

He had that really bad injury when his elbow bent the wrong way. Not sure he ever fully recovered from that. It wouldn't surprise me to see Spurs in for Pickford.

He wasn’t even the best when they signed him, Brad Friedel was massively unlucky to lose the first team shirt to him!

God knows how this fella has won a World Cup. A dreadful goalkeeper. Clanger after clanger. Spurs need to drop him and sign a no 1. Play Forster for now
It’s hard to believe he played like Banksie in the WC — a stark contrast to the keeper we now see who akin to our very own Mr Lumps.

I disagree, especially at Lyon he was brilliant, when he first came in at spurs he was brilliant. Up until the last season or two he’s been very very good, the record cap winner for his country, a World Cup winner.

But I guess hes ***** 🤨
The French love a dodgy keeper though, Fabian Barthez was also a World Cup winner and capped 87 times.

It is clear that he is struggling badly now. It can’t help with having a defence that looks all over the place too. Witness Langlet on that final goal for example. National League would be too good for him.

He was very poor last night and has been all season, that doesn’t take away from the fact he was one of the worlds best, we all lose it eventually!

You are right Abel Spurs defence looks a bit of basket case at the moment.

He's been extremely poor for Spurs for a good few years now. He is one of the main reasons they have never kicked on to win any honours in the last 5/10 years.

I'm struggling to find another keeper in the league who is worse than him.

No where near one of the best keepers around. That is a ludicrous statement.

He was very, very good for a number of seasons, without being the absolute best in the league. You don't play for a consistently top 6 (ish) side and win world cups for the best country in the world if you're gash.

Sadly time does seem to have caught up with him and he seems to be struggling for confidence and playing behind an unsettled leaky defence. Got a couple of spurs supporting mates, one still rates him very highly (before last night mind) and one's been saying he needs to go for a season and half.
