Huddersfield sack the Cowley Brothers.

Not a huge surprise, they've been almost as bad as us for a lot of the season, but I suppose you might have expected them to be given more than a season.

What has changed in their thinking since appointing him? They were in a desperate situation when he went in there and hasn't had chance to bring in his own players. Like us when we came down, the whole club was on a downer after being battered in the premier league and hardly scoring a goal.

It took me as a bit of a surprise but there is talk of a takeover of ownership. They are not inviting applications so something and someone is lined up.

They were rock bottom before the Cowleys and in freefall to follow Sunderland. It seems appalling to turn the knife just a couplle of days after they rescued the situation. I thought they were going down last week but 4 points, notably 3 points against WBA is phenomenal when the pressure is on.
As a club they were in desperate trouble now the Cowleys have given them a platform. Surely, with all their forward ideas and vision they were the best placed to build from this platform. It feels really cynical in timing. Thanks and goodbye now.

If there is talk of a takeover then maybe the new owners don’t want the style of play the brothers have

I think they have done a good job of steadying the ship after an atrocious start. It seems to be more about Cowley wanting to be in charge of recruitment whilst the chairman wants there to be more of a "collective" input.

Some of the decisions some owners have made these last few years is remarkable.

Watford's owners are absolutely crackers. I sometimes wonder what some owners actually realistically expect for their club.

Do they keep sacking managers in the hope they find the next Klopp or Pep? or the next Dyche? Wilder?

Most managers need at least 2 full seasons to see progress. Look at Klopp at Liverpool, it's taken him nearly 5 years and look where they are. Even Pep, it took a full year before they won the league and it was their 3rd season in which they broke the 100 points barrier and completed the treble.

Some of these owners would have probably sacked Dyche after he took Burnley down...now look at Burnley.
